I got my NOA2 on May 18. No NVC case number yet obviously. I am aware we have to email the embassy we intend to transfer to, however are we able to do that with no case number? Just the uscis receipt number? NVC shut down their phone line and they probably won t email our case number until it s already sent to our old embassy and that s too late. I m stressed

Hi guys, so I think this is a common issue when a case transferred to the embassy and waits for months. I am trying to ask for experience like that on how to make the embassy work on my file. I tried to send emails with health reasons asking to be able to have interview but it doesn't seem to be working. Any ideas. My case is k1 been at US embassy for over 2 months now. They haven't sent any emails and there is no slots available to book an appointment. Thank you.

I m not really sure which section to post this in, so I m going with here.

We are in Ethiopia.

I got an email from NVC saying our expedite case was approved (finally!). It also said it could take up to 2 weeks for the file to be transferred.

We were planning a trip abroad for Easter in 3 weeks, but now I m nervous about the timing of everything and wondering HOW QUICKLY they will schedule an interview from the time NVC sent the file. Do we need to cancel our trip or is it going to take something like 6 weeks or more?

I would like to ask if anyone of you know of the US Embassy in Ethiopia has started the visa processing, please? They have suspended it recently and someone was saying they opened for the visa interview. Is that true? My case was DQ three months ago and still waiting
