US Immigration from Ecuador

My wife and I are beginning the process of filing for an adjustment of status.

there are so many stressful things going on simultaneously.

1. her visa says the 2 year rule applies, her daughter-2019 says it doesn t.

2. her au pair company says she ll owe 10k in Ecuador if she s here illegally.

3. the process to find out if the 2 year rule applies takes up to 8 weeks .

4. if she leaves her au pair role, her visa will be canceled . They re currently asking her to rematch but n different states. Can this create issues ? Other than the obvious

I submitted my fianc s K1 visa petition 10.5 months ago, impatiently waiting for an RFE.

I've been hearing some cases are approved without an additional RFE. However, I do need to make a couple updates to my I-129F petition and thought I could do so when I submit my RFE.

Anyone had any experience with this and know what I could expect? Thanks in advance!

I (US citizen) married my Ecuadorian wife (who received a BS in North Carolina after living there with a student visa for 4 years) in NC in May 2015. We lived in Germany for 6 years and now live in Spain but want to move back to the US if we get a jobs there (currently applying). My wife has a B1/B2 tourist visa valid until 2031. What is the quickest and cheapest method for both of us to move and start working in the US? Does it decrease the waiting time or cost if we were married in the US 7 years ago?

Based on my research it seems like Direct Consular Filing is the best approach, and this website estimates it to take 7-18 months and costs $1,200. Is this correct? I also read that it's possible to expediate this process but the rules are vague. If we both get job offers with starts dates sooner than 7 months would this allow us to expediate it?

I also thought about moving there together if I get a job and adjusting her status to a green card. However, that same website says this would take 21-38 months and costs $1,760. Is this really correct? If so, then it would be cheaper and better to keep living abroad until the process is complete but it seems paradoxical at face value.

I'm currently in the K1 process and my fianc e will be having her interview at the embassy in Guayaquil, Ecuador. I have read some posts on this forum from a few years back where it was urged that the petitioner be in-person at the interview with the beneficiary or there would be a great risk of denial or a request for a secondary interview and more evidence. I was planning on visiting my fianc e one more time before the interview comes but my dilemma is that Ecuador allows a tourist to visit for 90 days visa free, but if you leave the country within those 90 days you cannot return until one calendar year from your original entry (mine would be June 20). So my question is, would it be better to just hold on until the interview comes in order to be there in person, or would an additional visit outweigh the potential consequences of me not attending the interview in person?

So I have a question regarding the affidavit of support. Backstory I am a US citizen filing CR1 for my wife, filed Feb 10th of this year. I ve lived in Ecuador for the last ten years. I moved back in April to the US and have been working since then. My question is, would my income be sufficient enough or would I need a cosponsor. I ll be making well over the poverty line but won t be filing taxes until next year. Let s say my wife gets approved soon, maybe October or November of this year, and we move on to the NVC stage, what document would I need as a tax return or as a supporting document. Would I be obligated to have a cosponsor ?
