I-864 form

Hello everyone!

My joint sponsor made an error only on the first form and misspelled my husbands name by leaving off one letter. The rest of the i-864 form is correct. Can he just redo the first page and i upload it with a note that states we fixed the error with the spelling of my husbands name or do we have to resubmit the whole I-864 form again?

p.s. I submitted all my documents first submission on Aug 23 so they have not been reviewed by NVC yet. I just so happened to catch this myself

Welcome and Congratulations on your approval!

This thread was created for those who are waiting for their NOA2 K-1 case assignment from NVC and then tracking your case onwards to your Embassy.

A few helpful NVC links:

NVC phone number is (603)334-0888

Please note: They are currently not answering queries over the phone!

They are answering through the below email :

NVCinquiry@state.gov

Once you ve received your NVC case number you can track your case online using the following link, until it is sent to your embassy:

https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?App=IV

If you need to change an address or need to update your info in anyway NVC has a public inquiry form where you can submit your request:

https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/ask-nvc.html

Inside the attached PDF below are a few tips, tricks and hacks to help you along the way.

These are items that everyone asks for, so they have been put together by Greenbaum for you to refer to when necessary. If you are new to this thread, please read as these are most asked questions.

I was previously including a 2022 shipping dates chart that s created based off last years data, but I ve been told the shipping dates have changed this year and I have not located an accurate chart. If anyone has located an accurate chart, please feel free to share it below!

My husband came to America on the k3 spouse visa 3 years ago from Dominican Republic. My husband received his permanent green card a month after he arrived. We plan to travel outside the country back to the DR, since he s been here. My husband don t have an American passport, but he has the Dominican passport he arrived to America with. I m not sure if his Dominican passport will allow him back into America. What does my husband need to travel out the country and back into America besides his I.D. and green card.

Greetings Everyone,

My wife and I want to bring her nephew, who is 8 years old, to live with us so he can have a better education. What kind of visa does he need? Do we first start with a tourist visa?

Thanks,

Elle

This question is to see options for somebody

a friend was petition for her mon a legal resident, petition was approved and sent to NVC to wait

but my friend s mon pass way last year. She has a sister who is usc , so her sister sent a letter to uscis asking to transform her petition on f4 because her mon pass way.

then NVC sent the case back to uscis on december 2021.

my question is: can her sister be the petitioner on the same petition?

i mean, will uscis continue the case with the same priority date?
i dont know if my question is clear
