My wife and I attended the interview on January 07, 2025, in DR, the consular officer told us that our case was approved, and gave us a document explaining how we can pick up my wife's passport when ready, after the interview, our case status was showing as "ready" in NVC portal during a month, then, on February 18, 2025, this status changed to "refused", we were confused on that because we do not receive any email explaining any reason.

At this moment, over two months of our interview, our case still saying "refused" and we don't receive any email from NVC, we don't know what we can do.

I'm in DR currently and would like to take my wife with me to US.

Can someone explain to me how can we proceed.

Thank you.

Hello everyone,

I have a question regarding the interview process for IR1/CR1 visas in Madrid, Spain. My husband plans to study in Spain for a year, and we're currently waiting for our I-130 approval from USCIS, which we expect in the next few months. We're wondering what is the current wait time is for a CR1/IR1 interview in Madrid, Spain?

Thank you for your help!

Hello everyone,

I have a question regarding the interview process for IR1/CR1 visas in Madrid, Spain. My husband plans to study in Spain for a year, and we're currently waiting for our I-130 approval from USCIS, which we expect in the next few months. We're wondering if it's possible to transfer the case to the U.S. embassy in Madrid once USCIS approves it, and what the current wait time is for a CR1/IR1 interview there.

Thank you for your help!

I don t know if I m putting this in the right place, but my husband got a denial on his AOS due to tax forms.

we don t know what to do from here,

the denial says we can appeal or put in a motion. We went to a lawyer and she wanted 3k to help us so we re forced to do it alone.

I have a few people telling me to restart the entire process.
Is it better to restart or submit a motion?

Since he s already approved on the k1 visa, does that mean he s not approved anymore? When we refile will he have to go to another interview?

is his work visa cancelled now?

Hello...Welcome!

For those who have just filed your I-129f application with USCIS, this thread has been created for your needs and for you to be with others experiencing different aspects of this journey. This is a place to ask questions and to share experiences. All are here to learn together.

Use the USCIS case tracker to follow your case online once you ve received your case number:

https://egov.uscis.gov

Stay patient because this is a long process currently running 7-9 months for your NOA2 (or petition approval by USCIS first stage). Then your petition will be sent to NVC which runs about another additional 8-10 weeks processing (second stage) and finally your interview at the embassy (third stage). Also, do not compare yourself to others....Some will receive NOA-2 faster than others, some will be stuck at NVC for longer and then finally some will receive interviews fairly quickly at embassy. STAY PATIENT!

Please be sure to create the timeline in your profile. Also note that USCIS goes by "Received date" :

Example

I-129 F Sent - January 2, 2023

I-129 F Received - January 6, 2023 (NOA-1)

I-129 F - Notice Date - January 10, 2023

In this example your NOA-1 should be January 6. This will help you fill out your timeline properly.
