US Immigration from China

Once getting my wife her green card she has to be in the US for 3 years before applying for a passport. Does that include living in Puerto Rico? The US Virgin Islands? What about aboard a US documented vessel?

We moved in November while awaiting condition removal (marriage-based). Got notice that conditions were removed for my wife and step-daughter, which was forwarded to the new address despite the fact that I had changed the address online. My wife got her green card with my step-daughter's picture and all my wife's name and correct info, and my step-daughter (age 11) never got her card. Wife's card was sent to the wrong address, but forwarded by post office. Now what to do?

Also, I understand this may take a long time.

1.) Can we get passport stamps while waiting?

2.) I am also worried if we just file a never received card for my step-daughter it will show up with my wife's picture.

3.) How to get them to send to the right address, despite changing it months ago.

4.) What forms to fill out for replacement of a.) the wrong image b.) the card that never showed up.

Hi everyone,

My fianc e just discovered that her name on her birth certificate is incorrect, and there is no way to change her name on her birth certificate in China. Her name on every other document is correct. The authorities in China told her she could get a Notarial Certificate of Former Name. Is that going to be enough?
I've already submitted I-129F and just received the NOA1.
Another issue is, I did not put down that name on the "Other Names Used" section of Form I-129F. I wonder if this is going to be an issue moving forward?
A lawyer from China that my fianc e consulted with suggests canceling the form and submitting another one with the name filled on the "Other Names Used" section, but I think there's got to be a better way.
I tried to call USCIS, and the automated assistance directed me to the "e-Request - Typographic error" (https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/displayTypoForm.do?entryPoint=init&sroPageType=typoError) webpage. Should I submit one?

My wife and I have been in the US since January 6, 2021 and my wife still has not received her permanent green card. The CBP at the airport upon arrival said due to the virus it could take 2-3 months. It has now been about 85 days and my wife still has not received her permanent green card. Has anyone else had this issue?

Hi everyone,

We filed our petition on March 15th, 2021 and is yet to receive a receipt notice from USCIS. USPS indicated it was delivered to the lockbox in Chicago on March 22nd, 2021. My current B2 visa expires today April 2, should I be worried? Hope we can receive the receipt notice I-797 soon.
