US Immigration from China

Hi All,

We're still waiting to receive the visa K1's package P3 from Guangzhou Embassy and It's been over a month since we updated fiance's mailing address due to recent move. They did respond to our inquiry on May 9, 2021 about estimated timeframe for P3 being mailed out. Below is their response:

May 9, 2021---------------------------------------

Please note that your case is currently under pre-interview processing. In the next few weeks, we will send your fianc e a packet with instructions on how to complete the online DS-160 application form and submit the required documents. Upon receipt of the required documents, we will contact you again with further instructions on how to schedule a visa interview.

• Should we fill out DS-160 prior to receiving P3? or no?

• Also, the following examples of P3 only ask for DS-160, copy of passport, and 2x2 photos. They don't mention requirements of medical examination, I-184 Affidavit support, birth certificate, etc. Are these other requirements (medical, I-184, etc) mentioned in the next packages/letters (e.g. P4)?

• I'm wondering if any who recently got a P3 could please share or confirm if it is similar to example P3 that was posted on Visajourney forum? Fiance and I are trying to prepare the docs.

Wanted to ask if anyone (originally from China or any country that was on the list of "Travelers Prohibited from Entry to the United States") has B1/B2 Visa has entered the US successfully after staying at a 3rd Country for 14 days or longer? What was your experience at the POE?

I am planning to have my mother in law (she has B2) to go to South Korea and stay for 14 days, and then fly to the US.

Hi everyone. My fiance is living in China but has a Sierra Leone passport. He received his K1 visa last week and was scheduled to travel today to me in Washington, DC(transit through Turkey for 4 hours). When he arrived to the airport, they denied him boarding the plane because he needs to quarantine in Turkey for 14 days prior to entering the United States. My fiance showed the publications on Department of State website but they still insisted that he has to get a visa for Turkey to quarantine and he cannot come straight here.

I rebooked him on another flight which will leave tomorrow with a different airline altogether. What further information can I provide at the airport to prevent this issue from re-occuring?

I'm 21 this year and I would like to sponsor my dad, or get him a green card.

From what I understood (roughly translation, from Hokkien)

My dad came to America on a working Visa in the 1990's and overstayed it. He just been here ever since.

Met my mother here (also an immigrant at the time, had me/brother but she already got her green card years ago and have tried sponsoring him. It's been years and dad just couldn't get a green card, I don't know why)

The Chinese Lawyers are just asking for more money and money. Nothing is being done

I heard from one of my friends who's marrying someone overseas and he's applying a Parole in Place for His wife. I looked up Parole in Place and I could use it for my dad?

In Order to get Parole in place I have to Apply for I-131 or I-130?

I'm getting confused on where to start. Everywhere I see. Everyone is applying for

*I-130

*I-485

*I-131

*I-765

But mostly for their spouse. Not their parents.

Any help or guidance is appreciated

I received an email from NVC about my documents. I live overseas with my wife and we live in China. She is an Egyptian National. My mother is my joint sponsor (my income doesn't count toward the money part) but the message says she needs to be added as a sponsor (which i added her as a joint sponsor) and upload her 864, etc. So she would become the primary sponsor or still the joint sponsor, I just need to upload an 864. I only did the 864A for her originally.
