Hi there - I m a Canadian RN with a BSN who is currently married to an American. Unfortunately, our CR1 visa is at Vermont and the estimated time for USCIS to get to it is currently 21 to 27.5 months. Our PD is May 5, 2020. Does anyone know if it s possible to apply for a TN visa as my profession is listed as part of the NAFTA agreement? Or will it be the technical wording that it is to be a temporary visa but I show permanent intentions with my pending immigration visa that will disqualify me? I m currently in the US with a 6-month B2 visa until December at the moment. Thanks in advance!

Good morning- I think I already asked this but I'm a greencard holder who petitioned for my son (19). Everything got approved and it's being held back due to the president's proclamation. I understand the proclamation may expire at the end of December. But who knows what will happen. So he lives in Montreal and his girlfriend lives in Sacramento. She is planning to move in with me in January and work fulltime. And they want to now go through the K1 route since we don't know what will happen with my petition. Can we have concurrent petitions going? They plan on marrying around next summer. They will both be 20. The idea is to have both petitions going at the same time and whichever comes in first is the one he will go with. Any thoughts? Although she will be his primary sponsor I will be the 2nd sponsor as I doubt she will make enough money to qualify. I am his primary sponsor on my petition and was approved. TIA

Hi guys, I'm not a Canadian citizen and I had to take my police certificates from Brazil. I haven't lived there since Jan 2019; I've been living in Canada since then. I received my Brazilian police certificates for the NVC filling which was in July 2020. I was wondering if I have to get a new Brazilian Police certificate for the interview at the consulate because the certificate says it is valid for 3 months only, and it will be expired by the time my interview is scheduled. P.S. I am asking this because I don't live in Brazil anymore, so it doesn't make sense for me to acquire new police certificates from my home country if I haven't lived there in almost two years.

I might have to redo my medical but I am now pregnant. Just wondering how that changes the process. The last time I had to do a chest x-ray, do they still make you do that if you're pregnant?

I see people here mentioning their priority date a lot. I just got my NOAs for the 485 and the Priority Date is Sept 1. I am adjusting via marriage, but not from a K1 visa. Does the priority date hold any significance, other than being the official date my AOS application was received?
