Hey guys! My situation is that back in August I filed for a green card replacement and didn't know to file form I-751. I had my biometrics appointment March 9th, and a few days ago I got a denial letter for my green card replacement however, I do have a paper stating my green card was extended an extra year (expired Dec 25/2020) with that notice attached. Now I have sent in my new package and am hoping the rest of the I-751 goes smoothly (I included my reasoning for it being late) I'm currently employed but looking to move jobs in the next month or so. I have had an interview and they're interested in hiring me but I'm obviously going to have to have a background check done. Now, when I check my e-verify it states that I am okay in terms of status to be able to work. Does anyone know if there will be any issues during the background check? I am nervous that because I'm transitioning between the I-90 and the I-751 there could be a problem with that? But, perhaps not as I have the notice stating my residency is still extended a year. If anyone has any ideas that would be amazing! I sent in a question to USCIS but I haven't heard back yet. Thanks guys, have a wonderful weekend!

I just wanted to let you all know, that (nearly) 5 years after my visa journey started, I have an interview scheduled for my N-400!! April 22!! Then I just have to wait for the oath ceremony! Estimated completion on my USCIS account, says Dec 2021. A mere 9 months from now !! I'm both nervous (cause I'm not very good at studying) and excited (cause this is the light at the end of the tunnel!!). App downloaded, and will make sure it's up to date before I start studying.

So I entered legally as a permanent resident in 2013, and remember using ELIS for a portion of my forms. I think it was for the interview in Montreal, but it's been so long I can't remember. I have a bunch of numbers (receipt numbers and case numbers), but I don't remember my ELIS number. Anyone know the format of such a number? It may help me to determine which number to put down on the electronic N-400 application. Thank you.

Hello! I m a Canadian who is currently awaiting a Visa interview at the Montreal Consular. If all goes as planned and I receive my Visa, what is the actual time frame in which my wife (US citizen currently living in Canada with myself and our children) have to relocate to the United States? She is currently employed by a Canadian company, though a transfer is possible. Also, the NVC requested proof of domicile. Would our US bank statements with the Tampa address (her Uncle resides there) be suffice? thank you!

My fiance had his K1 interview in Montreal, Canada on Monday. 45 min after his interview, our CEAC status changed from Immigrant: Ready to Nonimmigrant: Application Received. The following day (3/23), it changed again to Nonimmigrant: Administrative Processing. It has been at this status ever since. By all accounts, the next step after it changing to Nonimmigrant should be Issued. But I am an overly paranoid and worried person so I'm afraid we're going to be put into lengthy AP even after this change. Has anyone had a K1 case where even after the change from Immigrant to Nonimmigrant, the AP has been super long? Could we even get denied at this point or are we safe once they put us into Nonimmigrant processing?
