Where can I find a list of doctors who can do the medical exam required for the interview? I live in a pretty remote area so I highly doubt there is one anywhere near me.

Should I get it in MTL while there for my interview? How many days in advance before my interview if I get it done while in MTL? It would suck to have to stay there for more than a week in a hotel...

Hello there, I'm the Canadian beneficiary, preparing to fill out the DS260 and begin gathering documents for the IR1 visa processing.

On March 26 2018, I immigrated to the US on a K1 visa, married my USC, but left on Oct 3 2018, which is six months and one week. I left without receiving a green card. My googling and internet searching about police clearance requirements for the IR1 visa has left me confused. Some sites say present and former residents of the US should NOT obtain any police clearances covering their residency in the US. However, given the lack of a green card, I am not certain I would even be considered a resident of the US for that period, so would that mean that I do in fact need the clearance? Other sources suggest you need a police clearance for any country in which you resided, after the age of 16, for more than 6 months.

Would anyone happen to know if I need to provide a police clearance for the period I lived in the US? Thank you kindly in advance for any assistance.

I just went to my Biometrics appointment today and two of my right fingers (ring and pinky) showed up as orange with an exclamation mark on the screen. The technician mentioned that those two fingers are sweaty. She tried everything from wiping them with paper, using hand sanitizer to drying them with a table fan, but nothing worked. Every other scan was green. She mentioned it shouldn't be an issue since the 4-finger scan showed green and went ahead and submitted the scans.

I was wondering about the timeline when I would know :

1. Whether the scans were accepted i.e. when does the status on myUSCIS typically change online after biometrics and what does that say

2. If not, the timeline to receive a second notice for Biometrics for poor quality scans.

I'm currently a L1B Visa holder living and working in the US. I got my appointment for end of November (finally!) as we were DQ'ed in early March 2021.

Not sure if anyone else has a similar situation but I have a few things I'm not clear about:

1. Can I fly in the day before the interview from US? I believe there was a requirement at some point (may be wrong) to be IN Canada for 14 consecutive days prior to the interview - so kind of like a quarantine after travelling. If true, is this still the case?

2. Passport/Visa collection upon Approval - The embassy says there is no pickup available, only mail. Does anyone know if they have exceptions for those currently already living in US? I no longer have an address in Canada, so if required I supposed I can use friends address etc

3. Any other surprises I should prepare for?
