Hi everyone! We got notice today that Nebraska is actively reviewing our I-130. From what I've seen most people get their NOA2 within a couple of days and I'm just wondering if that's true. We filed on Jan.11 and we're absolutely ecstatic they're already reviewing it but I don't want to get my hopes up too quickly. Thanks everyone!

Hi all! We just started the process and I'm a bit confused about something. Is Notice of Receipt the same as NOA1? Thanks in advance!

Hello, I have an IR1 green card I received roughly a year ago. My husband and sponsor is a US citizen. We're planning on buying a house sometime in the near-ish future, which will be our first change of address since I arrived here with my green card. I'm aware I'll need to file the AR-11 within 10 days of moving. From what I'm reading, though, because my husband completed an Affidavit of Support for me, he'll also have to report his change of address (form I-865). I hadn't heard about this last point before, so I just wanted to make sure someone can confirm I'm understanding it correctly! It's no issue for us to file an I-865 when the time comes, but I don't want to misinterpret and risk muddling things if the form isn't needed. Thanks for reading!

Hello all, Question: USC Wife is filing I-130 (Petition Alien Relative -- Immediate Relative) and mother in law is filing I-485 (AOS) for mother in law whom is visiting us here in USA. Wife and I are filling out I-864 Affidavit of Support right now for that. Wife is unemployed, $0.00 income, I am fully employed, high income/no prob on poverty guidelines). When my wife fills out her AOS -- it asks for all the assets in the bank accounts, etc for our household. She included all of our bank accounts and it is above poverty guidelines/etc.. Now...is that -sufficient- and we're all set (just her I-864 with all the assets listed), or do we -BOTH- have to fill out an I-864 because her -personal- income is 0.00? As in...wife does I-864, but because she earns 0.00, I must sign do an I-864 as well as a "First of Two Joint Sponsors" (I think?) because i'm the one with the job/income/etc.? We are both legally married for 4 years and have filed Joint-Married tax returns for last 4 years, and live in same household, etc. Do we need -two- I-864's, even though we are married, just because SHE is the petitioner of her mother and her income is 0.00? Or does USCIS automatically consider us "A couple" (cause we're married), and one I-864 and all our assets/info is sufficient? Thank you everyone!!!

Hi, So I am applying for my citizenship and in the application it asks for all previous spousal information. I've got the dates of marriage and divorce along with my divorce certificates but the problem is that I cannot for the life of me remember my 1st husband's exact birthdate. I cannot contact him. I have tried. He is gone from all social media and his phone number is disconnected. His mother passed away a few years ago or I would ask her. He doesn't have any other close family or friends at all that I can remember or would be able to locate. We divorced in 2007 but had been separated since 2005. I have a fairly good guess as to what his birthdate is but I don't want to answer incorrectly. Is it going to be an issue if I leave it blank? I've requested to see my I-129F document through USCIS but I'm not certain they will have it or could find it as it's pretty old and it wasn't in their list of documents. Any advice? Thanks in advance!
