I am wanting to visit my aging mom and family in Montreal, however I have much trepidation about crossing the border. Anyone have any experience with crossing lately; back into the US as a naturalized citizen. I'm actually thinking of driving, again, from SFBA. It's a wonderful journey. I've done it twice.

Hey Visa Journey! My grandfather who was a USC passed away a few months ago and filed an I-130 petition for my father 7 years ago. My father is now ready to book his interview at the U.S consulate in Montreal and would like to use me as an affidavit of support for his case. My question is do we proceed like normal and submit form I-864(affidavit of support) and explain to them at the consulate my grandfather has passed away? Or does this need to be addressed before hand? In other words, what is protocol in this type of situation? answers would be greatly appreciated. Much thanks!!

How did you respond to the following DS-160 questions? 1. Do you have any specialized skills or training, such as firearms, explosives, nuclear, biological, or chemical experience? Would you say YES if you have taken a safety course (2 days) about hunting rifles (non-restricted in Canada), but have no gun license or any experience in military or shooting ranges? 2. Have you belonged to, contributed to, or worked for any professional, social, or charitable organization? Would you say YES for any volunteering even if it was as simple as folding clothes at a non-profit donation centre for 2 weeks? Thanks guys!

Hello, I was recently approved for a IR1 IV and my USC spouse and I are planning to move to the US soon (we both live in Canada currently). From my understanding, I will be eligible for ACA healthcare once I enter the US. My question is about the sign up process on healthcare.gov - Do I include my foreign income (i.e. the income earned from employer in Canada from Jan 2025 - this income will stop once I move to the US) when estimating the total income for 2025?
