    K-1 visa is confusing. It is non-immigrrant visa but at Embassies it is being processed by their Immigrant Visa division (IV) After interview, you will notice CEAC status will change to non-immgrant (black letters on top) and at that point you will be able to search for it by using AA number from your DS-160 on CEAC non-immigrant part.

    Nov 2023 had a hick up, where a lot of cases were not being processed in time. If you saw no movement at this time, suggest you reach out to congresspeople (you have 3, 2 senators and congressperson) and also the President. I think it is specifically 2-3 Nov 2023 cases that are still "lost"

    Yes, you will be required to show evidence of face to face meeting, since you've met in "3rd country" it will likely require passport stamps through both of you. Remember most pictures do not show TIME, you need concrete evidence showing both of you at same place and at same time 2 years prior to submitting I-129F

    During interview, CO can correct errors on DS-160, just explain what needs to be corrected.

    I-129F is non-immigrant petition. If you never had I-130 filed for you, or some other immigrant visa, answer should be "no" though I do not think it is huge deal to answer yes, Embassy can fix it if they need it.

    After DS-160 is "Submitted" e.g. no longer editable, it is good for 12 months. Before it is submitted it can be edited for 1 month. Generally, to schedule interview you need 2 things: Completed DS-160 and MRV payment of $265 (often paid in local currency at draconian exchange rate) BUT specific instructions depend opn consulate. Generally, doing DS-160 is always perfectly safe as Embassy won't take any action on it until they see MRV payment.

    6 months starts from the day of the medical. This is one of the reason why people try to have their medial close to their interview date. But if your medical is a month before interview, your will likely have less time to make POE after approval. Note that it varies a bit between Embassy, but MOST suppose to allow 6 months from the medical.

    Rejection rates for I-129F (petitioner part) are actually extremely low assuming correctly filed I-129F application with right payment that fulfills I-129F requirements (face to face meeting within last 2 years, petitioner being US Citizen, and both being "free to marry" The Embassy part varies from Embassy to Embassy, I, personally, have not heard about Bogota being particularly tough though.

    Congrats! After status changes to "Sent to DOS" you may contact AskNVC https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/ask-nvc.html to get your NVC number.

    You are likely to see RFE or approval on your I-129F fairly soon assuming your have Jan 2024 NOA1 date.

    Cost of EAD application is $260 USD. IF that allows you to work 2 weeks earlier than waiting for GC, it will easily justify the cost. If you have no attention to work legally at this time, then saving $260 USD might be preferable. Also if you think your local field office approves GCs very promptly.

    Petitioner or someone their behalf requested to correct a name on your I-129F, probably due to typo on the form. If you filed in Dec 2023, you are likely to see some movement in few weeks.
