All the civil docs around here want to do a complete phys. to transfer the ds form to the i-693a. I tell them no thanks but Im out of time.

Lets say I send in the ds form from her physical in Manila. Lets say they then rfe me. So what right? I then have to pay for the physical and send in the i-693a.

I mean she is here now and who cares how long the stupid Gov. takes to pass her paperwork.

Am I missing something?

Why mess around, get it done, ring around and find one that does.

Her medical will be good for one year. She won't need another medical unless the year is up. If RFE'd you still only

need the transfer to the I-693 supplement.

If the CS won't cooperate show him the instruction or find another one. You can also have it faxed for $10 from Dr. Arnold in Tx.

The I-693A has to be signed off by a civil surgeon. I don't understand how you're out of time - the medical examination is good for a year. If you get RFE'd for sending in the DS-3025, that's time wasted and you'll still have to find a CS that'll do the I-693A. Wouldn't it be in your best interest to search around for a CS that'll do only the I-693A for a small cost so that you won't get RFE'd in the first place?

There isn't anything you can do with the form, it must be transfered and signed by the CS. All CS have this form.

How are you out of time?

Without it nothing happens.

You can send in the AOS paperwork immediately, enclosing a copy of her medical done in Manila. Then, you can have the vaccination supplement done by Dr Arnold by mail, no fussing with the money-hungry civil surgeons in your area. Have the vaccination supplement ready for when you get the RFE or for your interview. My friend did this and they did NOT get an RFE, they just had to give the vaccination supplement at the interview.

You are not missing anything, if you don't mind delays in getting a green card (possible RFE), it is not a big deal. However, as the others said, the best thing of course is to get it done first (might delay sending in your AOS application by a week or so). Good luck for a speedy AOS process!

It really depends on your local office, and what they need you to do. Ask the group for anyone using the same DO as yourself.

We sent in the DS-3025, which was over a year old, but we figured the information is a matter of fact and would not change. We did not get RFE for it, we were just asked to bring the medical form to the interview. The CS office we used was cheap $125 and $100 (minor), but got the job done......nurses did the necessary blood tests and xray and the CS signed off on it. You will need to have the TD test also.

The important thing is to get the paperwork in, and to remember that what CS you choose, she will have to return withing 72 hours to have arm checked to have the TD test signed off.

Good luck.

Try calling Dr L E ARNOLD office in Austin, Texas she only charges $10 to transfer vaccinations from DS form to I693A form and does it all by mail within 10 business days or less. Do a search on here for I693A or Dr L E Arnold or find the Civil Surgeon locator on USCIS website for her office number, call leave message and they will call you back within minutes or hour and help you right out.

Print this out and take it to the DCS trying to hit you up for the full medical!

FEDERAL REGISTER INTERIM REGULATIONS

"C. Medical Examinations

According to 8 CFR 245.5, aliens seeking to adjust status are required to undergo a medical examination performed by a designated civil surgeon to determine whether they are inadmissible under section 212(a)(1)(A) of the Act. To date, applicants for K nonimmigrant visas have been required to obtain a medical examination abroad pursuant to Department of State regulations at 22 CFR 41.81 prior to entry, and the medical examination is not repeated if they apply for adjustment of status within 1 year of the dat e the examination was performed. They are, however, required to submit with the adjustment of status application a vaccination assessment completed by a designated civil surgeon in order to establish their compliance with the vaccination requirements under section 212(a)(1)(A)(ii) of the Act.

The Service will continue this same policy for the K-3/K-4 nonimmigrants. K-3/K-4 nonimmigrants who file their adjustment of status application within 1 year from the date of the medical examination overseas will not have to submit an additional medical examination. However, the Service notes that applicants whose medical examinations overseas revealed a “Class A” or “Class B” condition (as defined by 42 CFR 34.2( B ) ) must establish upon application for adjustment of status that they complied with those cond itions imposed on the initial admission. Failure to comply with those conditions means that a new medical examination will be required.
