Hi Guys,

Did any of you who got "case complete" last week get an appointment, yet? My one got completed on the 13th but so far no interview date. It is more and more likely that I missed the boat for December. I will call NVC one more time this week, just in case.

Are you sure that it was a day before mine? The 12th was Veterans Day, I doubt they showed up for work that day. :)

For my consulate NVC schedules the interviews. I called DOS yesterday but the operator put me on hold and never (at least until I hang up after 15 minutes) returned. Maybe the phone system just messed it up or he really went to lunch break in the meantime, I do not know.

I will try NVC today before they shut down for 4 days.

Keep in mind that not only your case completion plays a role but also the consulate capacity limit for Dec. I would suggest you call NVC first, they should have that information before DOS. Good luck.

That's true! Also, I think that they do give priorities to CR1/ IR1 in my consulate that they are placed in December slots.

Seems to me that the switchover from Standard to Appointment NVC processing has caused the outstanding Standard cases to get priority interview scheduling.

Hey guys, I was wondering, does the NVC set appointments once they set 'Case Complete'? Also, if your case is completed by NVC around the middle of a month, do they then set the appt for the following month, is that how it works in general?? Of course we are talking about Appt posts, not standard, for I-130.

Thanks a bunch!

Hi all,

Any new news, interviews, answers from NVC on this subject?

Our case was complete on November 9th and no appointment as of yet. Is there any way to find out (either from NVC or DOS) what the capacity for your embassy is for a given month and where your case is in the line for an interview?

We'd really like to know if December not even a possibility anymore and if we should expect January or February.

Thanks!
