I am jealous of many of you. My 130 just went over 246 days. Due to my SR in December i got a letter, "background check remains open", which means im sitting in FBI. By common timelines of NOA1 5/18, i have been sitting in background check for 3 months now. No touches, no RFE's. As a matter of fact, i have had no touches on the 130 or K3 since NOA1 was generated.

On 1/4 I contacted both Senators and my Congressman for constituent services, and all are investigating. It seems my case is in the unfortunate 1-5% of cases that just seem to float around for no reason.

Of course i go mad sometimes. I am alone with my 3 kids from my prior marriage, so i have to stay strong. Dora too is suffering for she rented her flat on a long term lease and moved back with her widower father for what we thought would be a short time. Sadly, we are greatly mistaken.

But for those of you around 180 days with no approval, be strong. Our marriages are stronger than this process. As a matter of fact, i believe that this suffering is purifying my love for Dora. Let us all endure, and prevail over this. May the peace of the Lord be with all of you.

5/18/07 130 Priority Date

1/29/08 130 NOA2

7/12/07 K3 Priority date

1/29/08 NOA2

2/20/08 NVC Recieved

2/22/08 Leave NVC

2/27/08 Embassy Recieves

3/7/08 Interview- APPROVED. Dora was interogated for 2 hours since she had a denial at POE last year. It was brutal, but she never had anything to hide.

3/10/08 Visa and plane ticket in hand

3/11/08 POE Miami (Why wait, huh?)

Timeline 130 filing to POE=306 days.

3/17/08 Mailed AOS via USPS Express Mail to Chicago lockbox

4/21/08 Recieved NOA1's for AOS, EAD, and Trav Doc's.

5/9/08 Biometrics appt scheduled for EAD and AOS.

Huhuhuhuhuhuhu! Approved Dec 12 by USCIS however our petition hasn't reached the NVC yet...more than a month has passed....huhuhuhuhuhuhu... :crying::crying::crying:

anyone on the same boat???

Hello MariEnMichelle, It's great that you have been approved. Our petition took about 3 weeks to make it to NVC. I called and called NVC to see if they had received our petition and nothing, so what I did is I called USCIS through the RFE line and asked them if they could check in their system if our petition had been sent to NVC or not. The first time I called USCIS through the RFE line they told me they had not forwarded our petition to NVC, that it was still in NVC "Staging area" and then a week passed and I called again (RFE line) and they told me that our petition had been sent to NVC (and they gave me the exact date). So then I called NVC and YEP, they had our petition. So If I were you I would check by calling USCIS. BEst of luck.

DARN, I'm also waiting! Nothing yet, no news. Anymore July filers out there still waiting? Or is there only a few of us?

I'm still waiting too!! And no word yet. Not a single one!!!

The wait has been horrible as you all know. The worst is that there are at least 4 couples I know of via this site that submitted their apps 2-3 weeks before me in late June, and were all approved on 11/28/2007. WHY THE DISPARITY IN PROCESSING TIMES????????

I've called USCIS several times and each time the answer is the same: Until 180 days have passed they can give me NO information. My case hasn't even been touched! And I'm getting upset and frustrated. I feel for all of you more than myself because at least I've been blessed to be able to work remotely from Brazil and spend approx every other month with my wife. I work in software and can do my job over the internet. What a beautiful blessing!! But the wait is unacceptable! I want more information from USCIS! They have it - WHY WON'T THEY SHARE IT????????

Visa processing is a queue-based system. why can't we at least know where we're at in the queue??? Wouldn't that TINY BIT OF INFORMATION make the wait much much much easier to bear?? Because then we could at least prepare mentally for the wait, knowing where we're at.

*uhg*

 They can't give any information even after 180 days. By NOA1 notice date, I hit 180 days on Jan 14th. All CSC will say is call back in 30 days or that the 180 days is an estimate only. They have no information they are willing to share or are too lazy to do some research.
