I had my medical in August 2007 in Canada. I was given a sealed envelope and a "Vaccination Documentation Medical Worksheet Two" that's what the top of the paper says. According to information on both VJ and the USCIS website because I had my medical less than a year ago I don't need a medical just an I-693a vaccination supplement. I compared my document that I received from the doctor to the I693a and it almost looks identical except for what it is called. Can I use the vaccination sheet I was given or do I need to get an I693a?

We just used the one the one from Canada and had no problems, we never got a RFE. Like you though we were unsure so we just went to a local civil surgeon and had them copy it all for the interview just incase. It was really cheap like maybe 25 - 30 bucks. It gave us a piece of mind though when we went to the interview.:thumbs::thumbs:

I beleive an RFE is an RFE and it does not matter so much what it is for....

Perhaps you'd like to answer the question?

It sounded like you understood that an RFE on your I-485 does impact your interim benefit filings or why would you have known to ask this question?

YMMV

Can this Dr. Arnold fill in the supplement even though I'm in Maine and sending the documents to VSC? The surgeons here are asking for $450 for that little I-693A :(

Yes, you can send a copy of the vaccination supplement to him through the mail. Just be sure to call beforehand.

Can I ask why you're sending your documents to the VSC?

Some people have used the same form, however, the directions say to send in the I-693. Sending the I-693 is sure to not get you and rfe.

The directions does not necessarily say to send in the I-693. I-693 is the entire medical which most people are not in possesion of and unless it is expired is not necessary to get re-done.

YuandDan,

Where is the requirement for the Vaccination Supplement required to be sealed? i see it for the complete medical but not the supplement....

The Civil Surgeon has instructions pertaining to the completion of the I-693A. They must complete the supplement then provide in a sealed envelope.

Actually, I didn't know that. I may have heard someone say that but people make mistakes. That is why I wanted to make sure. To be honest, I don't see how it slows it down. They are separate forms for separate purposes. Why should I not be allowed to go visit my family because immigration gets ####### and decides I need to get another medical? The whole process is ridiculous and I'm going to inform my congressman of that when I become a citizen.
