Brandon's home. The hospital discharged him two hours ago. It was a crazy rush for his dad and me because we were originally told by his doc that they'd let him go tomorrow. So I was at work this morning when we got the news. But everything worked out well and he's now reading all his get-well cards next to me. :D

His butt is still sore, but he's such a strong person. It feels really good to have him home again.

Our deepest gratitude to each of you who prayed and kept Brandon in your thoughts. :luv::thumbs:

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

Well...what's the mouse got to say about this?

I think it's still trying to find its tux for the occasion!

Brother Dean and everyone else who are still gonna keep praying for Brandon's recovery, thank you from the bottom of my heart ... or as I had started to jokingly say in front of Brandon, "Thank you from the heart of my bottom." :)(L)

Thank you, Maureen and iceyspots. :)

Brandon is still recovering very nicely. He finally asked if we can have lasagne for dinner this weekend. I had stopped eating lasagne when he was diagnosed with Crohn's disease two years ago and found out tomato-based products and food would worsen his condition because of the acidity. It was just a small way for me to show him my support and love. I couldn't get to Sam's Club fast enough to pick two of his favorite frozen lasagne. Gonna fix it for dinner tomorrow night.

His stitches and staples were also removed from his incision on Wed. Unfortunately, they missed one, which my husband discovered late Fri afternoon while he was examining his tummy. We hope to hear from his doctor by Mon about what Brandon should do. He was half-tempted to pull it out himself but I managed to talk him outta it.

We did a fair amount of furniture rearrangement in the past week so that he would be able to get things easier. His PC and monitor now sit next to his recliner, where he spends most of his time. I built up a "command center" around him so that he'd be extra comfortable. See pictures below. :P The one on the left was taken early this afternoon when we had the family over for lunch. The one on the right was taken last Sun after I was done setting up everything around him.

Elen

PS. I also bought three of the ugliest pairs of pyjamas I could find at Wal-Mart because the pants he usually wears at home are too heavy and they weigh down on his incision. Tomorrow he gets to wear Sponge Bob Square Pants. :innocent::lol:
