I'd definitely wait until you receive the official RFE letter in the mail. The letter will be more specific as to what kind of evidence they're looking for.

You should read through the RFE thread that is stickied to the top of the K1 procedures forum. It can give you some ideas of the kinds of things people have been asked for in an RFE. Its typically something fairly easy to respond to, so relax, and do some research.

Don't be nervous. It could be more pictures, a form not signed, something that's fairly simple that you can provide. Have a look here to read what others have encountered:

An interesting read. I seen that in some cases, people got RFE's for not sending in their beneficiaries birth certificate. No where in the guides does it say we need to submit a bc at this point. I am not going to be happy if this could have been averted in the first place by knowing a bc may be asked for.

I called them today to see if MAYBE they would tell me something. Of course not. They just said if I didn't receive it in 2 weeks to call them back and they would issue me another one which could take 2 weeks to get to me. Nice to know. I could drive over there from AZ and have the damn thing faster than they can send it to me. What a bunch of idiots.

You should read the Huskerkiev posts about the process at the service centres. It's an interesting read. Essentially they receive your petition, give it a cursory check, assign a case number and cash your check and then put it in a box on a shelf for 4 months. They then take it off the shelf and assign it to a case worker and it is then that the case is properly looked at and any RFE's are identified. Hope you get your RFE sorted out quickly.

thank you guys

I received an RFE from USCIS. I was really fortunate because the person who I spoke with said the RFE was still there and USCIS actually faxed a copy of it to me. I was told the fax would not be sent until end of day but, I waited. I received the fax around 8:30 PM and our RFE was only for one thing. Which I was married before and did not enclose my ex marriage license to link my maiden name with my ex married name. I did sent the divorce decree but, that was not good enough. So, its probably something simple. But, We will lose probably 6 weeks until the final approval comes in. THIS IS THE DOWNSIDE!!! Best of luck!
