I'm getting depressed...I made a copies of original documents that NVC asking transalted everything and notarised everything.. somebody tell me if it is enaugh??or what else need to be done with them?? my 129-F has just been aproved and I'm so stresed because of NVC and all those ridiculous changes they are making all the time, that I'm thinking to continue that k-3 and finnaly go to my husband.. If it would be possible to come back for CR-1 interview later? what are my options??because after year of waiting I'll need some medical help soon..

There aren't enough details given about which documents and precisely what you did in the way of translation and notarization to tell you whether it will be enough.

Yes, it is possible to return to your country and interview for a CR1 visa.

I aslo made translations of the required docs by NVC and notarized them all and was told that is not enough. I gonna take a risk and send my originals.

Whoa. If a copy of something isn't sufficient, the original of the same document will be just as insufficient. Documents aren't rejected because they are copies. (Actual petition and visa applications must be original.)

Sending the original of a document doesn't negate the need for translation and/or notarization.

What documents are the problem and why? What was specifically requested?

NVC is asking for mariage certificate, birth certificate, police certificate.. they are asking for originals or certified copies..so what I did made a copy notarised then translated it and also notarised it..but i'm not sure if it's enaugh..maybe copies need to get apostilles/ legalisation or something??"a copy with translation must be certified with a governmental institucion"- what that suppose to mean??Notary??

i'm thinking also to send those originals together with notarised translations and copies..maybe that would work?but when we suppose to get it back? durring the interview?

Hi guteLT,

I actually answered your question in the NVC forum - you need to send the translations, of course, you also need to send the originals as well, not a photocopy/certified, a certified copy from the issuing entity ie: original.

And yes, they return the originals to you at the interview.

What's the source of the translation and notarization? Details.

Why is everyone here talking about translations? Our instructions read, "All documents not in English, or in the official language of the country in which application for a visa is being made, must be accompanied by certified translations." So, in our case, as long as the document is in English or Russian we should be good to go without a translation. Correct me if I'm reading that wrong please.
