I am just not sure how long I really need to make this and how much in detail I need to go. Should I go on to explain the actual day and time? What I was doing? What happened after that? How this turned into a relationship?

What do these people want?

Some people use the space provided, others take more. Mine was a page.

Wow, how did you make it a page? Rambling on about your relationship? I guess the USCIS wants to know right? Can I include information about how we are a couple now?

I went in to detail as to how we met, where we went during our first meeting, who we went out with (her friends), etc. The pictures I had taken corresponded to what I wrote (places we went to and the people we met up with).

Do you think it is okay if I go into detail when we first met and other meetings we had after that as well? Basically explaining how our relationship formed?

You're only required to prove you actually met in the last two years. You can give as much information as you want beyond that but anything you say is subject to verification. I'd stick to the date of first meeting, number of in person meetings, and date you last saw her. Make sure you can document being in her country on those dates. Passport stamps and boarding passes are primary evidence. No problem indicating our reason for being in her country in the first place. Unlike many here, you didn't meet first on the internet.

I'd keep in in the space provided if at all practical.

Providing evidence your relationship is bona fide and ongoing is done at the interview.

Good. Those are the supporting evidence that you were in Hungary from date to date and that you met. Your answer to 18 could be as simple as, "While I was in Hungary for two years for X reason, Name and I met, date. We saw each other several times over a period of X time. After my return to the US, our relationship developed long distance. We've been engaged since date.

At interview, your fiancee will have ample opportunity to explain anything she is asked about your relationship. That's when it would be good for her to have an updated letter of intent, affirming your intentions remain and to have in her posession, a document from you explaining the evolution of your relationship, if needed.

Your supplement should NOT be more than a page (according to my lawyer). Remember that these officials have thousands of cases to read and they just want the facts. Mine was exactly and page. I bolded the important dates and two sentences: "We met and began a friendship (December 2004)" and "We entered a romantic relationship (December 2005)"

Just keep it short and to the point!! Good luck!

I used only the space on the form, indicating where/when we first met and dates of subsequent visits to each other's country. Copies of our passport stamps, boarding passes, itineraries, photos, etc. substantiated the statment of our meeting in the last 2 years. It really does not need to be a major essay, otherwise they'd allocate more space on the form.

We did just over half a page and cross referenced it to the evidence which was provided.

Ours was almost 1 page, my fiance included (he is the US Citizen):

- Date and place where we met.

- Brief description of our following meetings (including dates, places and ocassions).

- Why we decided to get married.

- Brief description of when and how my fiance proposed.

- Our intention to get married and live permanently in the U.S.

At the end we include the following paragraph: "As proof that we are in love and plan to marry, I'm attaching copies of our plane itineraries, pictures of our visits, phone bills, copies of emails and letters."
