OK so now we finally got this divorce done after an 18 months long nightmare,BUT

we don't have the Decree yet..........

We wanted to file our I 129 on Oct.1st (Monday) ,but so far it doesn't look like we'll get the Decree in time since the ex is sending it from VA to WA via snail mail............

The passport style pics we have for the G 325A's are dated Sep.10th on the back of 'em........so how long can we actually use them without risking an RFE??

Are they strict on the 30 day rule? And how do they count that? Let's just say the I 129 gets to CSC by the 10th of October,is that good enough even though most likeley it'll sit there for a few days unopened?

Please gimme some info on this!

USCIS isn't strict on the passport pics. None of the ones we used had dates on them. For the interview, the specifications for the pictures are strict and they should be able to easily recognize the applicant from the picture.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...

Passport pics are good for 6 months. You dont have to put a date on them, but you do have to have your name written in your native alphabet.

Passport pics are good for 6 months.

I do not know where the 6 months comes from. According to the instructions dor the I-129F: Give USCIS a passport-style color photograph of yourself and a passport-style color photograph of your fiancé(e), with both photos taken within 30 days of the date of filing this petition.

You dont have to put a date on them, but you do have to have your name written in your native alphabet.

Tell me please... where is this requirement to write the name on the back in the native alphabet?

YMMV
