You can put your anger back into the box and prepare for a long wait - Nebraska claimed one month ago to work on application from 1/27/07. Two of the folks here sent their applications before that and haven't said anything yet about receiving GC or RFE. My application was officially received on 2/1/07 at NSC, and I haven't heard anything either. I see the long waiting as just compensation for having paid the lower fee before this year's fee changes. That doesn't mean I am not feeling your frustration, too, but, more than a fast adjucation, I wish us both a positive one.

My NOA is January 18, 11 months now. I called customer service on Friday and made a service request. They told me I would hear from them within 45 days. I also contacted my congressman and he said he would look into my case. I doubt anything will come out of this but at least I've tried.

To be fair to all our customers, we process cases that are the same type based on the order of when they were filed.

I know I shouldn't complain. I already received my GC (after only 82 days), while other people have been waiting for over a year.

I just wonder where that so-called fairness is? I would have been willing to wait a couple of extra months so other people that have been waiting for much longer could have been processed first.

If NSC is so busy that they can't adjucate any I-751's that were filed a long time ago, why don't the just transfer those to CSC and the other Service Centers as well?

I don't really have a clue how USCIS works, of course, however, I wish they would stop pulling peoples' legs and take that B.S. lie (see above) off their website.

Good luck to everyone who is still waiting. I hope you guys get your GC's ASAP.

Bertrand, when I think about it - you are probably correct: NSC is lying. The process dates they have been giving in the last months are contradicted by too many cases now to assume only a bureaucratic error.

Because the petitions were already logged into NSC (and TSC) and have case numbers for those service centers, and the checks were cashed by those service centers. Apparently, there is no way to get a case transfered out of a service center once it is entered into that service center's system.

The transfers to CSC from NSC and TSC that have been happening since July 1 (including yours) are not really transfers, but rather are more like "forwards" -- TSC and NSC simply forwarded them on to CSC without even beginning to process them.

Meh

You guys really need to revive what was passing for the NSC Losers thread. Us TSC Losers have known that TSC has been lying for months!
