They're now telling us to wait 90 DAYS before inquiring! Over a month of waiting for us! I just shipped off an email to: USCIS-COMPLAINT@DHS.GOV ..."expressed" my concerns! That's the reason for the fee increase right, to make for more efficiency in the process?! WE are paying these people...I strongly recommend others to join me in the email! Thank you & good luck to everyone in waiting!

hugz..

I've never thought ti before, but, damn, why can't we outsource these jobs to India.

I'll bet they wouldn't take 2908204380 hours to DATA ENTER a pile of preliminary forms.

We are talking about DATA ENTRY. Any temp worker flunkie who took a keyboarding class at community college should be able to enter a truck load every day.

We filed for AOS after receiving a K1. Fedex delivered the package to the lockbox in Chicago on Aug 15. We have not received a NOA1 yet, nor has my check been cashed. Even though some posters have had luck getting receipt numbers by calling, USCIS told my husband they couldn't tell us anything for 90 days (as noted by other new posts). The newest USCIS update from Sep 7 says they have COMPLETED processing on apps from Aug 15 and before, yet we have still not heard anything even though we fall within that timeline.

Anyone else in the same boat? Anyone have a sense of whether the USCIS updates are accurate, and if so, how long it took after the date they said they completed processing to receive an NOA1? Just wondering whether I should be worried, as it's been over a month now and nothing.

Thanks thanks.

I am confused now

NSC got my application for I 130 according to us post on 8-20-07

then they have to open the envelope to see that is a I-130 application

then they have to send it to CSC

what do you think how long it takes them to open the envelope and send it to California?

USCIS web site says NSC completed entering data for the other the applications on 8-5-07 other means also I-130

this means for my application that is gonna be maybe end of October when is in computer in California

am I right?

Elvis...they have to approve your I-130 petition, then send you an NOA1, it is then sent to the NVC (National Visa Center), once that is approved, you'll receive an NOA2, your petition won't be going to California. This is taking a VERY long time...our I-130 should have been received in California on Aug 9th or so & we still don't have any NOA1...we can't even inquire unless we don't receive anything in 90 days! I know it's hard on all of us, we're all trying to be patient. Go to the top of the page to 'Guides' section...read up on the Flowchart...you'll be more familiar with the process. Read & educate yourself as much as possible as it's a long, gruelling process with tons of paperwork & fees. Good luck to you!

Maybe I was confused with those names (NOA1 an 2)

What I meant is proof of receiving the application

they got it in Nebraska on 8-20-07 ( I got receipt from US postal office)

I know they are behind

The question was

1. do they have to send it to California?

2.If they send it to California when can I expect it to California ( so I can use the updates from USCIS they do now data entry for apps received on 8-5-07 or something like that)

I mean if they are late in Nebraska just God knows when they gonna be opening t\hose envelopes they got a month ago?

Am I right or maybe I don't know the process once they receive the app

No Elvis, it doesn't go to California...you sent it to the right place and as of Sept 14th, they've completed the input & processing for app's received up to Aug 5th only. You have awhile to wait unfortunately...from the USCIS website:

As of September 14, 2007, USCIS has completed data entry and issued receipt notices for applications and petitions received on or before the dates indicated:

Nebraska Service Center

Form Number Date Received

I-131 7/29/2007

I-140 7/29/2007

I-485 Employment

Based 7/29/2007

I-765 7/29/2007

N-400 7/26/2007

All Other Forms 8/05/2007

Keep checking the USCIS website as they update it every Friday:

Elvis,
