Well mailed AOS package on July 27th Received in Chicago July 31st. I just called the 800# and spoke with someone regarding a receipt # to track my file. They told me they are being told to inform people to expect to wait up to 90 days just to receive a receipt #!!!!! Chit Unbelieable.

That is crazy! Hopefully yours comes sooner! I bet you they're overestimating that timeline to cover their butts!

OH wow thats a really long time!!!!

I expected that this would happen with the rush of filers they had I will be waitng to file AOS until they are caught up. Now of course they said that the fee increase will help the timelines but I have a feeling that they won't change much.

Hope you get it sooner than 90 days!

well i sent my I-765 in 7-7-2007 and i dint receive the receipt yet.!! i received my Biometric letter but not the receipt

As far as I im informed, the reciept date is not the same than the date they are going by when they process the case.

They can as well already process your case and you just don;t have a reciept.

If you are waiting for the reciept number to check your status online, check your cashed check, it is printed on the back of it.

Well I sent a money order not a check. and I called to see if the money order was cashed and it still hasn't been cashed?

From my recent dealings with the so-called "Customer Service" agents on the 1-800 number; the 90 days thing is just a blanket estimation that they'll throw out for everything and anything. Like someone said earlier it does cover their butts because in my experience none of them actually know anything. I bet if you called back you'd speak to someone else and they'd tell you something completely different. Hang in there.
