I need your help. I am 27 studying in USA and I got married proposal from him who is U.S. citizen 82 years old

We dated for almost 2 years; went to 5 countries and lived together for almost a year. We have shared bank account and his family knows about our relationship and they are ok with it mine are very conservative and religious so they are not aware although my boyfriend visited my family last summer.

We do genuinely love each other and don’t feel the age gap at all. He actually proposed last summer but i was not sure so asked for more time together and now i feel like I do want to be with him and this time together connected us even more. We live together since September.

I would not say he is rich and I do not really depend on him either, I am pretty independent. I am look for any advice on how to best move forward in this case?

I feel like we have a strong evidence but at the same time I am worried of the age gap.

anyone has similar experience or can share anything?

Which Country are you from?

55 years is stretching it, not sure even I have seen that large a gap, but it is common in such relationships for the USC to be significantly older and they do seem to be more lenient with LGBT relationships.

So the plan is to marry and adjust status after that?

Yes, it is a big age gap and all you can do is hope for the best. What is the plan if it gets denied? Will he move back with you to your home country?
