Got my notice that they have my application today. So it took about 3 weeks.

Money has yet to be withdrawn from the bank.

Someone asked about my fee waiver...

I sent in all the tax forms we had from the past 2 years. A letter stating my salary from work, and a letter explaining my husband is self employed and doesn't have a pay. Explained that the business profited less than X last year which wouldnt put us anywhere near the limit for the fee reduction.

We will see if they accept that. I'm prepared to show 2025 taxes as soon as they're prepared.

Adding another January DP here from northern virginia (WashingtonDC/Fairfax FO). Have a pending I-751 since 1/15/25.

1/29 -- Application Filed Online (receipt date of 1/30; likely because it was filed at ~9pm eastern).

1/30 -- Receipt notice available at ~7am.

1/30 -- Biometrics appointment scheduled at ~8pm, code 5 for both N400 and I751. Appointment is on 2/18 in Alexandria, VA.

Did you do biometrics for your 751?

Edit; I see someone else said that n400 is one of the forms that requires a new biometric.

I wonder where mine will be this time. Usually I go to Atlanta, but I'm based in TN. I assume my oath etc will be in Nashville, so I'm curious if I'll be able to do my biometrics there or not.

I did not. I immediately received a reuse notice for my 751 last year. But now it looks like they'll apply biometrics to both (N400 and the pending 751) cuz the notice states both forms/receipt numbers at the top ("case type"). I think they update biometrics on all pending forms (which would make sense).

Ik for a fact that once you go in for your N400 interview, they also do a "just-in-time" instant biometric check before recommending your app for approval (assuming everything else is good) and then another check on the day of the oath ceremony.

and now the real waiting begins!

Looking at the timelines here and reddit and Facebook, there seems to be a small subset of people who get interviews freakishly fast like under 4 months some even under 3 months.

Done with biometrics today, and status on myuscis immediately changed to ‘Your case is still being processed’. I guess they changed the language from ‘your case is being actively reviewed.’
