Hi everyone,
I’m getting ready (way ahead of time) to submit my I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, and I’d really appreciate some feedback on whether my packet looks strong and complete.

Here’s what I will be including:

-Cover Letter.

-Form G-1450 (Credit Card Authorization).

-Form G-1145 (E-Notification of Application/Petition Acceptance).

-Completed Form I-751.

-Copy of my Green Card (front and back).

-Evidence of Bona Fide Marriage (see below):

  • Apartment lease agreement.

  • Medical and dental ID cards (through Amazon Benefits).

  • Joint bank accounts (Checking and Savings) and statements with regular transactions.

  • Car insurance.

  • Supplemental, Life, and AD&D insurance (through Amazon Benefits).

  • 401(k) retirement plan (through Amazon Benefits).

  • Copies of both our driver’s licenses.

  • Official IRS tax transcripts (including W-2s) for 2024 and 2025.

  • Internet, phone, and car wash accounts.

  • Mail and packages addressed to me and/or my husband.

  • Photos of us together.

Does this look like enough? Should I include something else?

I have heard something about a notice enclosed in the 2-year green card envelope. It says, "Use this tear-off portion to speed your application for an extension or replacement card.Is it necessary to include this notice?

Thank you so much in advance for your help and guidance!

Looks good to me! If you had any trips together (hotel reservations or plane tickets) you can include those.

Otherwise you're good to go. I wouldn't file before 90 day early filing window or on first day. File a few days after to avoid rejection due to filing too early. Those 1-3 days won't make difference in long run.

I know what you're talking about. It came with original conditional card.

I never submitted that. I think it doesn't apply really. You're not replacing card, that's more if you lost or damaged the card. You're removing conditions. You're technically not extending card either. I don't think it hurts to include, but I also don't think it speeds anything either.

No.  It won't put your I-751 closer to the front of the line.  I think your evidence looks good.   Just be prepared for the processing time to be somewhere between a few months and a few years.  Good luck.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Another side note...

I'm a big credit card points enthusiast and have many cards. I never paid USCIS fees with credit card. Sometimes USCIS charges get denied by credit card as fradulent (I guess it should be fraud to charge this much for a very slow service lol). I see less of this happening to users nowadays, but it's still a possibility. Users who never had denied charges suddenly get their USCIS packet rejected due to unsuccessful payment.

If you want, you can use ACH payment with different form - https://www.uscis.gov/pay-by-ach-transaction

However, drawback of that approach is ensuring you have enough funds in account to take the fees. Which is similar to credit card, you need to make sure the balance is below credit limit.

Good luck!

Your evidence looks good as-is.  If you have time, shop for a lawyer who can draft wills, medical & financial powers of attorney, and similar estate documents.  These make superlative evidence for ROC, and they're even more crucial to have in "life."  You can bring these to the interview if you want to send what you have.

If the state of California has official templates of estate documents to download and craft to your needs, you can use those.  Of note, many lawyers have told me NOT to download other templates from the Internet.

Remember that if you move from one U.S. state to another, your wills may need to be redone.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

can i ask how many months of joint bank statements you are sending?  thanks

I-751 asks for evidence from start of marriage until date of filing. The more you send, the better. Instructions actually say to send as much evidence as you can. Nobody was denied for sending a lot of good evidence. People were denied / RFEd for sending less.

I submitted 8 months (1 per quarter) of full statements for credit card and bank accounts - and mine got approved in 58 days!!!! But I’m not sure that’s normal.

only the thing I would add if you have them is copies of airline tickets for any trips and then photos on that trip. I did that as again it shows a very complete end to end evidence.

my total package was about 400 sheets of paper including everything

We sent about 20 months worth of bank statement as well as electricity and mobile bills. Essentially every month from marriage until we filed for ROC (filed right as window opened).
