Hi, I submitted my K1 Visa first week of May and received a rejection on my packet. Upon looking at the NOA I-797C Form. It states, "application not fulley completed. One or more following fields were not completed:

Alien Fiance Family Name

Alien Fiance DOB

I was looking through the packet i submitted and realize it was missing 2 pages of Form I129-F. But  as I looked through the packet even more, it was at the back of the packet. My question is does it really need to be in chronological order? I mean, yes its my mistake, not sure how it got in the back, I thought I doubled checked it. But are they really lazy to not check fully? Like if its delivered how it is, then they will just accept it as is? Curious if anyone has gone thru this situation, I thought it does not matter. It was only two pages that was out of placed for the form I129-F. They even time stamp everything so Im surprise they didnt caught it. Just curious if it happen to anyone? Kinda sucks I gotta resubmit it due to missing pages but its not missing its just placed at the back of the packet (I-129F).

even if it seems like a simple common sense thing, USCIS officers have to follow the same checklist, and if a page isn't where they think it is, they are just gonna assume its not there

Also keep in mind that you are not the only one that sends an application. They have a ton of them to handle and I'm sure they are given a limited amount of time to go over each one. Also if they have a bunch of new people they need some time to get up to speed and may not realize something is out of order. Lastly everybody makes mistakes. We the applicants but also the USCIS. We are all human and we all make them. It's annoying but in the grand scheme of things its a small speed bump on a very long highway.

I remember reading here, years ago, that USCIS uses forklifts to transport pallet after pallet of boxes (of petitions) within their warehouses.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Wouldn't surprise me. I was later to the game then you but I assume you also had to go the all paper mail in route (everything but my N400 was paper file). I got to see my actual file folder during the N400 interview it was about 5 inches thick. And like most here know by now, I only provided minimal evidence.

Almost every time I went to the Norfolk field office the walls of the halls were lined with tons of moving boxes with nothing but immigrant files. I lived close to field office in those days and drove by it very regular. The amount of box trucks I have seen there dropping off and picking up was astonishing. Like several of them every week.

Yes, all paper.  Those individual files will certainly thicken as the steps progress.

Heaven forbid that a USCIS staffer would misfile a folder in a box going someplace it shouldn't...

Don't remind me. They probably dropped my file at some point. I got an RFE during the ROC asking for all required supporting documents. Lucky for me I had a full copy at the house. To top it off I was informed that my sealed envelope got lost (the one you hand in when you entered on your 129) and it was not reunited with my file until the morning of my interview for the N400. And they cannot aprove the ROC without it

I received a rejection notice for my I-129F because two pages were missing; they were stuck at the back of the packet and I missed them. Instead of sliding those pages into the original filing and resending it, I printed an entirely new packet with a new check and passport photo and mailed that in without the green rejection notice. Will USCIS reject this new submission because I left out the notice, or is a complete re-prepared packet acceptable? I assumed the markings on the returned packet meant I had to start over, but now I’m worried I handled it the wrong way.

whether you sent a new form or not you should have included the green sheet of paper you received with the first rejection. thats why it says you need to include it on the top of the new package.

did you include the same evidence? or did you re-print that as well? the evidence would have the same numbers printed on the bottom.

the only thing you can really do is wait and see

we got a rejection notice for my husbands AOS packet due to using old forms, we used the original evidence we included even though it had the numbers printed on it, and we included the green sheet of paper. was accepted and now we are waiting.

yes and no. theres the I-129f form and then the relationship evidence that should be included. mostly just evidence that you've met your partner in person at least once within the last 2 years. like flights, photos together, hotel bookings, etc.

Oh okay, so the evidence, I did reprint a brand new copy. Im hoping they wont ask for the old packet that i sent the first time, cause its already shredded unfortunately. Should’ve read it more carefully.
