If during the N400 interview if my wife is asked what's the form of government of the United States, can they answer "republic" or" representative democracy" or do they need to give more of the definition? Personal experiences of people who have been through the interview are welcome.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

No. Just saw on YouTube that they can sometimes ask definitions or stuff like what is the form of government.

"Republic" is a good answer.

 

You can search videos on YouTube. There's a lady who records videos about questions and answers as well as word definitions.

Is the YouTube channel called US citizen test.org(citizenship with Jackie) and the lady named Jackie?

The United States is a representative democracy. This means that our government is elected by citizens. Here, citizens vote for their government officials. These officials represent the citizens' ideas and concerns in government.

 

the officer is more likely to ask what are the 3 branches and the duties of each

1. Judicial

2. Executive

3. Legislative

They will ask 6-10 questions on the list.  I wouldn't worry about other stuff.
