Hello.

I have been living and working abroad (Manila) for a foreign company for the past few years and understand that I cannot use this income.

I still file tax returns and I read the income entered on form I-134 generally should be from your latest tax return.  My latest tax return shows an income of ~2.5x the requirement from stocks sold.  Can/should I use this? Of course I plan to look for a job immediately upon returning to the US and hope to have one by the time we file.

Thank you

you can show your capital gains on I 134 but the CO will ask for a joint sponsor that has US residency

for AOS you will show proof of the US income but again the officer will ask for joint sponsor since the US income is short lived

I read that for Philippines (Manila) though we cannot use a joint sponsor for K1.  We do have one lined up if needed but I read they only accept on case by case basis.

Why do you not marry in PI, save a lot of hassle.
