we are both approved, they said they will make sure to have us at the same Oath ceremony.

Such great news!  It won't be long now.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Congratulations  for the APPROVALS 🎉 🎉 🎉 🎉

You guys will soon get your oath ceremony scheduled.

In my case, my officer told me I was to hear from them in three weeks.

It seems like they are no longer doing the same day oath ceremony. They now have to wait a certain amount of days for quality reviews before the oath ceremony can be scheduled.

I guess you guys are feeling much relaxed now than before.

Definitely more relaxed, the officer did tell me if an opening come up sooner for an oath ceremony they will call me.

Oath ceremony today -   not sure if I am the last member of the March thread (filed at the end of March) to complete the process, but I made it to the finish line.

If you anyone in this thread is still waiting, best of luck to you!

Congrats! Make sure to get large passport book (it is a free upgrade) and update citizenship status with SSA.

Thanks!   Also thanks for your many insights!

I have a passport appointment tomorrow.  I hope it will work out.   I went to DMV after oath because I understand I need to update my citizenship status with them also. Somewhat unexpectedly they took a new picture, gave me a printout  to carry and use (but let me keep the old license ) and said it can take up to 45 days for the new license to arrive.   The temporary license is just a printout with my signature and a scribble from someone at DMV.   I hope that won't be an issue.  (I have decided to bring along other docs like SSN card, birth certificate,  passport of country of origin).   I really hope I didn't  mess up the order of things  (passport appointments are not easy to come by....it would be many weeks to reschedule)

Passport it a very straightforward process.

They will need only,

1- naturalization certificate

2- copy of your driver's license.

3- photo

4- proof of your flight within 14 days if you are applying base on that.

5-  credit card for payment.

Be on time and everything will be okay 👍

Take cash or a personal check if going to USPS or you’ll have to pay an added fee to buy a money order.

Also, I was able to use my foreign passport as my second piece of ID as I only had a temporary license at the time. Had no issues getting it issued, and there’s something poetic about using one passport to get another.

When is your interview? Mine is also 4 weeks, 12/11.

I had my 5-year transcripts with me last time, but they never asked for any. I also had them uploaded online.

I'll bring all the same documents with me again.

Hey! How was your interview?
