You got an interview notice 2 days after filing? O_O  Does the #3 have a checkmark on it like numbers 1 and 2 in the "Progress" tab?

Same here, mine changed from 6 months to 5 months.

On the day of my oath, estimate showed 3 weeks until decision...

Oh wait, I mentioned it already 😃

The "estimated time until decision" from the "progress" tab is HIGHLY unreliable. It seems to be based on a lightly calculated timeline based on the field office where your case is assigned average processing times and the date when you applied.  It means NOTHING, and it changes drastically from time to time - 7 months to 3 to 5 to 4 to 2. So don't pay much attention or read too much into it. You'll get your hopes up when it goes down and get severe anxiety when it goes up, LOL.  I have to remind myself of this every time I check my case - just ignore it.

Couldn't agree more. Also, I'd add - don't be worried if MyProgress completely dissappears or shows "Your case is taking longer than expected". Both are irrelevant

We all do! I have my interview coming up and have no reason to check but I do. And given that I won’t be getting approval on the spot, I will continue even after the interview till the day of oath. We are creatures of bad habits (only some habits are good habits)

Our timeline so far:

March 9: My wife and I filed N-400 online based on 5-year rule.

March 12: Acknowledgement received, cases accessible on USCIS site

March 14: Appointment letter for biometrics, scheduled for March 31

March 31: Biometrics done. We are seniors and often the machine cannot read our fingerprints, but this time things seemed to go well. But…

March 31: Received action taken email, found letter on website asking us to come again for biometrics on April 15.

April 15: Second biometrics done; we were told right when we entered the support center that we will not be called a third time. Seems they stop with second attempt or on the second visit, they only match with previous visit’s record - I do not know

April 15: Case status: N-400 being actively reviewed, nothing outstanding.

No message since then.

May 8: myProgress shows estimate of 5 months (which we all know is not to be relied on)

So far, how many March filers (who post on Visajourney) have received interview letter?
