It has now been a little over 2 weeks since the online notification of Interview Cancelled. Today we decided to try calling the number provided at the bottom of the notice. The agent told us they can't tell us why it was cancelled (as in it could be scheduling issue or other reasons etc it's not listed on their end) or how long it will take to be rescheduled. They did say that it is set to be rescheduled.  Hopefully it's soon, but nothing I can do about it just gotta wait now. I'll keep yall updated :)

Yep, infamous tier 1 officers. They know as much as we do, sometimes even less.

Looks like interview cancellations have ticked up recently. I wonder why.

It does seem like there have been increased reports; IIRC, in Texas, it was an issue of them not continuing to use some sites. I wonder if other FOs have had to cut some usage contracts.

Interesting. I was wondering (with no evidence) if it was just the season - like, interviews get scheduled and then staff take PTO and so interviews get cancelled.

In reality it is likely a combination of factors.

I only see one member here whose interview has been cancelled. How many are we talking about?

Timeline:

Feb 13 – submitted case online,

Feb 13 – received NOA1 with case #,

Feb 13 – received biometric reuse letter.

May 27 - Interview Scheduled for 15 July 2025 (PDF copy in USCIS account)

Depends how much stock you put in the data scraped by casestatusext.

At time of writing ~700 of the ~29000 Feb N-400 cases have Interview Cancelled as their status. Worth remembering that this doesn’t include online applications or those who haven’t yet been processed or those who have already been rescheduled.

Even if perhaps the overall numbers aren’t fully accurate, tracking daily shows an uptick in cancellations over the last few weeks from a small handful each day to a dozen or more.

Big beautiful bill. You don't watch TV?

It’s a 1,000 page document, which touches many aspects of life in America for citizens and non-citizens alike.

Is there any particular provision or area that you’re wondering about as pertains to your naturalization or dual-nationality?

I haven’t heard anything specific about these areas other than some fee increases (I think?), but it is a big bill and the minutiae often isn’t covered that well in the media.
