[/size]INTERVIEW and APPROVED!!!

QQ had the interview in the morning and again in the afternoon. Each was < 1/2 hr though she had to wait 45 min in the a.m.

In the a.m. the med check was not there from the hospital...so they said it would be there by noon. She also had to go home and get the certified divorce doc I sent on Monday (DHL) that was to be delivered to her house in a.m.

It all went smoothly.. and they told her she can pickup Visa on Aug 30. We booked the ticket almost 2 weeks ago for Sept 7th.

What a relief for both of us to have this step complete. Joyous happy days.

Best wishes to everyone,

Tom - TT

Well, I decided yesterday to contact my congressional representative and spoke to her immigration specialist on the phone this morning. Within 3 hours, I had a call back and she had heard back from the congressional liaison at CSC. She told me our petition had been sent to NVC on the 17th of August (10 days after approval and 7 days after the last touch). So, she is following up with NVC to see if it is there yet (I'm guessing it is) and hopefully it will be on it's way to Kyiv within a week or so.

My guess is that if any of you have not arrived at NVC yet contact CSC first to check with them. If it had been sent, I am assuming it takes NVC a few days or so after the receipt to get it into their system. I would imagine that when I called NVC on Tuesday the 22nd, it had not been entered yet and the CSR couldn't do anything about that.

Hang in there, and don't forget to update your time lines when you get to NVC and when you're out of there.

So, we are hoping for a September Interview and an early October arrival.

for everyones info, it took exactly 8 days from NVC sending it to the embassy and my fiancee getting packet 3, i think thats pretty good for our government

Wow! That's great news. Laura and I were figuring, based on the average timelines given in the K1 flow that it would be in to the holidays before she even got her interview. Maybe things will go faster than we thought. :)

I called today and they said they still havent received it. :( I don't understand how people who were approved after us are already received and taken care of yet our case is still in limbo. Ah this is so discouraging. I was seriously thinking that I could see my fiance again in September- but now that seems like a lost cause to hope for.

I called NVC on 08/23 and they have not received out case yet although it was aproved on 08/03. I called CSC and spoke to a really nice lady who found out that our case was mailed to NVC on 08/22. Hopefully it will get there soon. Does anyone know how long it takes for a case to get to NVC and be entered into their system? The lady at CSC said they had a backlog in ther mailroom, that is why many cases were delayed going to NVC.

Like everything else it varies. I guess there is no way to predict, but one might assume that it takes them about 5-10 days to receive it, and depending on your luck just a few days processing at NVC and off to the Embassy. One thing you might be aware of as other Russia filers have learned is that NVC may hold your petition for some additional processing (Admin Review) for a short time once it arives there. Bluesfairy is wrapping up hers right now, and I have seen others who have had that happen in the Russia Regional Forum. It seems to be routine, and why they are doing it is beyond me.

Hang in there, check out the Russia Regional Forum you'll find more information there.

Call CSC I'd be willing to bet it was sent out and you should have a better idea of where it is.

Hey Everyone!

Silly question...On tuesday I replied to packet 3. Wednesday I get an email from the embassy saying that they needed some additional papers before scheduling the interview, I dropped off the additional papers that same day...and now I'm waiting :clock:

How are you notified of the interview date? Do they send you a letter or an email? or both? how long does it ussualy take?

Saludos,

Caro

You might have better luck with those questions in the Embassy or Regional forums. Every Embassy is going to be somewhat different.

I have a question about packet 3 should you send just part 1 of DS-230 in or part 1 and part 2. Thanks in advance for the help.

TB

Again, this might be answered quicker if you post it over in the Embassy or Regional forums. Some Embassys do not require the DS-230 (my Fiancee's for example) for the K-1.

Hope this helps.

Also: anyone hear anything lately on where they are with NVC?
