Hi, I submitted documents today, how long does it take for me to be documentarily qualified (DQ)? 3-4 weeks?

Also, my Priority Date is 2006, taking that into account, how far away would my actual interview be after DQ?

I know it can take long as well but I would appreciate a realistic timeline (earliest date and latest dates).

DQ should be pretty quick. You can check current timelines here (it’s updated weekly) - https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/nvc-timeframes.html

Your PD is current but it’s about a 2 year wait for an interview at Islamabad. So I’d guess at some point in 2026, hopefully in the first half of the year if they speed up a bit.

Good luck.

Hi,

Just wanted to give updated information. Me and my whole family have successfully migrated to the USA and have all gotten our Green Cards. I will update my posts with all the useful relevant information you need and log out.

This website helped us find out it was a 2 year waiting period: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/iv-wait-times.html

Congrats! The most helpful thing you could do is to please fill your timeline in (on your profile).

Thanks and good luck in the US.
