Hey everyone,

Just curtions if anyone has run into this...

My fiance and I have only seen eachother 2 times in the last 7 years. The picture that is on our profile here is actually the only picture of us together in the last 7 years as well....by the way, this picture of us was taken this May. For some reason, we didn't really think of taking more pictures of us together. Anyway, I did send this picture in with our petition....

Is it bad that this is the only one?

What does everyone think?

Thanks!!!

One is a bit weak, but it does show together.

I have read of one person having problems with only having few pics together, and only showing in an indoor setting.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

Do you think that with only the 1 picture that we have together that we may get RFE for more pictures?

If so, I mean, we can't magically produce more pictures or anything unless I want to fly to Ecuador just to get more pictures to satisty the RFE.

Thoughts anyone?

As long as you have other proof of having met within the past two years you should be ok. I think we only sent two pictures with our petition but Claudeth took a couple photo albums to the interview.

Pictures are not the most important evidence.... If your other evidence is strong and convincing then it should be no problem. There even was a reported approval that included no pictures. There simply is no right or wrong answer as it is dependant on the interpretation of all the evidence submitted.

YMMV

I agree from the standpoint of getting the petition approved. However, another visit or two between now and the interview, with a better selection of pictures will go a long way towards helping convince the CO of your bona fide ongoing relationship.

It is personal preference... I sent 4 simply because I felt anymore would not add any additional credence to my petition.

Pictures are just part of the evidence you can provide for proof of meeting. If you have other things like boarding passes, receipts, etc that put you both in the same place at the same time (within the last 2 years), then I wouldnt fret too much. I would, however, try to generate some more photos before the interview. That's when you really need to cough up evidence. And as you mentioned, there is little you can do, aside from taking another trip to take more pictures. Dont fret too much, whats done is done. Cross your fingers for no RFE :)

The K-1 petition is to 'get your foot in the door'. There's no need to load the adjudicator down with a bunch of evidence. Your goal on the I-129F is to show that you and your fiance were in the same place at the same time within the last 2 years. I would advise 3-6 of each type of evidence (photos, chats, phone logs, snail mail, boarding passes, etc.) Save the big guns for the interview.

On the passport photo, I doubt you have anything to worry about. The restrictions on passport photos pertain to large objects or clothing that obscure the face and make it more difficult to recognize.

Thanks everyone for all the input.

I really hope we don't get an RFE just for the pictures. I sent in copies of the boarding passes from my trip to see my fiance while she was in Brazil in May as well as a boarding pass from when I saw her in January. That boarding pass was for an Ecuadorian domestic flight from Quito to Cuenca.

Also, I submitted copies of my passport pages that show my entry and exit dates from both Ecuador and Brazil when I saw her this year. Hopefully these will be enough.

As far as her interview goes...I don't think I'm going to be able to go see her before the interview....but she is going to take pictures of me and her from high school (when we met) and letters we had sent eachother as well as MANY emails we send daily.

Hopefully that will all be enough without any further pictures.

Pictures are secondary evidence so if your primary evidence of having met in person within the last two years is strong, it may not be an issue. I did not send a lot of pics myself and sailed right through.
