Consulate Review: Guayaquil, Ecuador
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : February 6, 2008
Embassy Review : Consulate is actually in Guayaquil (is not an option on VJ)

Fernanda's interview went really well. Her appointment was at 8:30 and she got there at 8:00.
She had to wait for a really long time....until around 12:30.
The consular officer didn't ask any questions really about me....just where we met and what she will be doing in the US. He asked her if I had come to see her recently....which I had 4 times in the past year, one of which was in Brazil. The consular officer asked her if she knew portuguese because of being in Brazil and they discussed the language for a little bit. He said she was approved and she went to pay DHL. They took her fingerprints and didn't charge for them. They said she'll get the visa at the DHL office in 4 or 5 business days (good thing because we already purchased a ticket for her to come to the US on 02/15)
Rating : Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
