wow! Congrats! That's really amazing! What evidence you provided in your packets? Could you please share?

This is the list from my cover letter:

Documents for Petition:

  1. Application fee of $750 with Form G-1450 (Credit Card Authorization).
  2. Completed Form G-1145 (E-Notification).
  3. Completed and signed Form I-751.
  4. Copy of Permanent Resident Card (front and back).
  5. Copy of our marriage certificate.
  6. Copies of passports for petitioner and spouse.

Evidence of Bona Fide Relationship:

  1. Driver's licenses showing shared residence.
  2. Tax returns for 2022 and filed jointly for 2023. The petitioner had no income after becoming a lawful resident in 2022 and her identity was not yet established so tax return in 2022 was filed separately.
  3. Joint bank account and back transaction records.
  4. Spouse’s credit card summary showing petitioner as an authorized user.
  5. Two affidavits of support.
  6. Joint apartment lease agreement.
  7. Copies of offer letter and student ID from the University of XXXX.
  8. Faculty/Staff IDs and offer letters from XXXX for both of us.
  9. Life insurance policies naming each other as beneficiaries.
  10. Spouse’s health insurance listing petitioner as a dependent.
  11. Joint AEP electric bill. Columbia Gas and Spectrum Internet bills showing our names and the same address.
  12. Photos with family, friends, coworkers, and shared activities.
  13. Cards from family and friends.

After I sent the package, I noticed some people talked about a notice enclosed in the 2-year green card envelope. It says, "Use this tear-off portion to speed your application for an extension or replacement card."

But it was too late for me to include the notice in the package so I uploaded the scanned copy to the document section after my case was added to my online account.

I'm not sure if that helped but make sure to include the notice if you're about to file your i-751.

Let me know if you have any questions!

I suggest you contact the bank or probably you can also put in the notice of the expected spending in the app. I did that and it went through without a problem.

Even when bank says they have some system to notify about upcoming charge - most likely they're making it up. Most of banks nowadays use automated AI based fraud detection. Human can only override some transaction and lift fraud flag only after it occurs

My receipt date is 10/2 and I was expecting to wait until my N-400 filing to get any sort of update. On a whim yesterday I checked my case status and it's aleady been approved my card is being produced!

I'm happy to see I'm not the only one with that fast of approval! Does anyone know why it would be so fast? My husband is active duty so I was wondering if that would be why? Or did I just luck out and send the exact evidence they needed?

Congrats for those that have been approved and hoping everyone else gets a quick response too!

I filed September 3, 2024. They were "actively reviewing" September 10, but nothing at all since then. My case is at VSC, and I see VJ says VSC is processing August 17 NOA1 now, so I guess we'll see soon? Shocked some already received their new GCs last year...

Same here.

Filed N400 3 weeks ago. No update on I-751 application.

Pretty normal for I-751. My I-751 took 20.5 months. @Crazy Cat's wife's case took 44 months or so.

N-400 should help unblocking it. Good luck!

Yep.  When wife submitted her N-400, our I-751 had been pending 40 months.  Four months later, both the I-751 and N-400 were approved during our combo interview.  About 6 weeks after that (which included Christmas holidays), she took the oath.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..
