Hey all,

got my appointment at the consulate tomorrow and the usual panic starts hitting.

ive walked a circle around the consulate for fun with the wife tonight and saw red taped ribbons and guide paths for visas.

assuming there’s going to be a line tomorrow.

how long ahead of schedule should you arrive at the consulate?

My appointment is at 9:30.

would arrive at 9 be safe?
I’d hate to show up at 9:30 pass all security measures and be late for my appointment.

thnx barry

Which consulate? For London there's no queue for immigrant visas, only NIV's - if you have an IV appointment you go to the head of the line and tell them, and they let you straight in. But I assume other consulates have different systems.

for a different visa but my fiances interview appointment was at 8:30am and he got there at 8:10am and there was already a huge line.

realistically you probably aren't going to "make" your appointment time.

15-20 minutes before is plenty.
