I am bringing my step-daughter over on an IR-2.  We completed all documents and had an interview scheduled.  Two weeks before the interview we realized her passport had expired.  She submitted for a new passport, but it didn't arrive in time for the interview so she didn't go.  In hind sight she should have gone with her expired passport and dealt with the follow up because it has been a nightmare since we missed the appointment.  I've called every number I can find, I've tried multiple times a week on USTraveldocs for an appointment, I've talked to people that tell me all I can do is keep trying for an appointment.  If anyone has a suggest on getting an appointment for a new interview after missing our original interview date please let me know.  I'm honestly not even sure what to do anymore.

Thanks!

Jon

Unfortunately there is not a whole lot she can do other than to constantly monitor the schedule to see if any time slots open due to others canceling, etc.

From what I can tell on google it does look like USTravelDocs is no longer in use and it has switched to USVisaScheduling.  Can anyone else confirm?

No real update.  USVisaScheduling is a mess, it doesn't let me choose China as the country and I don't want to just pick another country to get past this page.  This whole thing is so frustrating, it's hard to believe nothing works in the system.

Daft question I know, but I'm assuming you've done as the consulate requests on their website and tried the following?

"Please use the web form at https://china.usembassy-china.org.cn/visas/immigrant-visas/immigrant-visa-unit-question/ to request for rescheduling."

Also, they say to use US Travel Docs website, not US Visa Scheduling? Not all consulates have transferred to US Visa Scheduling yet.

I'll check that link.  I get a "you have been ban" every time I try to use USTravelDocs now.  I have tried that website for the last year and always get "no appointments available"  I've called them multiple times and they always tell me they are at the mercy of the consulate making appointments available.
