It's kinda Ironic I don't recall people making all those comments when Mcgquire broke the record? With all the steroid ALLEGATIONS, he has not been through the court and found guilty of steroid, but in the public face he's already being Sacrifice on the podium. Would it be different if he was a white guy, i wonder where that double standard is coming from? The guy broke the record, and whoever with no sins cast the first stone and maybe judge all the players equally.

It was a big controversy when McGuire broke the single season homerun record. But this is the holiest of all American sports records. Its hallowed! The man doesnt deserve the title. Not many people will recognize this achievement. Hopefully...

Hank Aaron took this record cleanly. HE is the only one I think deserves that title today. Hope Bonds will always be branded as a cheater and given an * next to his stats.

I used to have a Hank Aaron trading card back in '73... my Dad threw my whole baseball trading card collection away one day...thought it was just junk. :(

I'm very conflicted over steroids in sports, but well, I'm from Pittsburgh and Bonds is an #######. Asterisk for me!

Can't deny what the stats are between Ruth, Aaron, & Bonds. It's Ruth hands down against any hitter after him ;)

Bonds is just one of many cheaters in Baseball's Steroid Era. It's oh so easy to make him the scapegoat, even more so now that he holds the home run record.

to me it's a mute point. the greatest Home Run Hitter of all time was and remains, Babe Ruth.
