Visa Refused - How long for adjudication?

Embassy stated that there was an error on the I864 on Feb 1. I fixed the error and resubmitted. Asked them if it was correct. No response. How long does it take the embassy to go and change the status.

This is so frustrating.

There is no set time.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

The 1st Feb was only two working days ago, you need to give it a lot longer before worrying.

A lot longer? Like what? 6 months? 1 year?

I doubt that long, but certainly longer than 2 days. They probably haven't even seen it yet, it'll be waiting for somebody to look at it, I'd give it a month before chasing it up.

They responded to me in 24 hours when I asked what the problem was.  I sent them the I864 and asked if this is what they wants and crickets. This needs to move faster.

It says ...

A visa “refusal” is not a denial of the visa application. Instead, a “refusal” means that the case will remain on hold until the case goes through further processing. This means that the Consulate will place your case on hold until the documentation or information it has requested from you has been received.

They have received it.

Unfortunately, immigration doesn’t work to our tune. In contrast, we dance to their tune. Missing documents or errors in the application always add time to process the visa.

I do not know much about Bolivia consulate but I’ve seen consulates take weeks to issue a visa after simple mishaps like missing documents or other  similar things. For example, Montreal takes 4-6 weeks to process in such cases.

Makes no sense if it is a simple fix.
