form I-129F help

Hello.

 

Me and my partner are currently in the process of getting the paperwork together for Form I-129F.

 

Is it acceptable for the citizen to only send a copy of the birth certificate or is a passport needed as well?

 

Is any ID required by the beneficiary also?  

 

(I have watched some youtube videos of people showing there forms and they have used both forms of ID, but i have read also that the beneficiary isn’t required to have any ID in the form, and also a passport isn’t necessarily required by the citizen if there is a birth certificate)

As that says, passport or birth certificate for petitioner are ok, you don’t need both. 
 

There’s also a guide on this forum that is worth reading before you submit.

Side note: Passport doubles as evidence of travel when you show them pages of visiting the country.

so would you suggest to photocopy my picture on my passport and put it in the petition?

 Print off all the instructions pages then look over them slowly. It will tall you what you need.

Copy the bio part that has your information. I think it had your picture too. I'm not looking at a passport now. And also copy the pages that show you traveling to the beneficiary's country

i am the beneficiary, my partner is the petitioner (us citizen) when i visited my partner i never got anything on my passport to show that i got in to the country (didn’t get passport stamped) should i still photocopy the initial ID page on my passport ?

Sorry I misread so edited my post.

 

Can you print out the I-94? That’ll show your dates of entry and exit. Yes, include a bio page of your passport.

it doesn’t say to include any of this on the USCIS checklist. 

 

i have boarding passes which i can include in the proof of meeting.

I-94 is very strong evidence of meeting in person. But at the end of the day it is your petition so you’re free to exclude it.

Pictures are not evidence of meeting in person as you can’t really verify when you took them.

 

However, they’re beneficial to show a genuine relationship if you’re going through a tough consulate.
