WHAT, Aly?! Jeremy has touched you only TWICE? If this is true, he is nuts, and he deserves a massive out-chewing ("oot-chewing" if in Canadia).

My timeline first having been assiduously updated, I am now free to report that the Disservice Center forgot what it was supposed to be doing (delaying, obfuscating), because it issued an NOA2 notice to me today, by e-mail and website (further proof that those birds have lost whatever was left of their non-minds). The effective date was yesterday, 12-18-2007.

Ergothuswithforthly, the steps are being followed in proper order: [1] update VJ timeline; notify fellow VJ celebrants/sufferers; [iii] fax printout of approval to Mama T-Bone; [d] call the future Mrs. T-B.; [V] make note to self, in case political office ever seeks me, to overhaul the holy hell out of the USCIS system and everyone in it; [6] perform further and thorough Anaesthesia by Beer, even though I don't drink.

For those still suffering (SSAH, Lora, Maria&John, and I know I'm mortifyingly forgetting someone), the secret seems to be Get PAST or AROUND those front-line contracted screeners and talk to an ImmigOff; [2] rather than get emotional and simply beg for (or demand) action, ask WHERE IN THE DIVISION your file is; [C] point out dispassionately that applications submitted in July & August are being approved; and [Four] request that the ImmigOff send an e-mail to the workstation where your file is. When faced with the facts, and when the facts are presented in terms that the ImmigOffs can relate to, they can send more-meaningful messages to the people on the floor who are actually (supposed to be) handling your file.

Now, can someone please:

[A] Tell me which forums here to begin scoping next; and

[ii] Tell me exactly what happens next, approximately when, and what I/the fiancee need to do?

Well, this is The Prettiest of congratulations yet!

Your fiancee should start working on her police report, and you should start putting your financials and bona fides together. The guides should help.

I included my financials (I-134 ?) with the original I-129F package.

She got her police report just before the I-129F package was submitted, although I did not include it in that package.

Before I begin reading the guides: Do either of these items "expire" after X months? (If the time limit is, say, 6 months, it would seem to be USCIS's fault for the untoward delay.) At least regarding the financials, I imagine that I could prepare a notarized affidavit saying that "all information is substantially unchanged from what was originally attached."

And, Mox, why would I date myself? That seems quite narcissistic.

Take a look at the bottom of the K-1 Guide. The section labeled "What to send to your fiance(e) once the I-129F is approved (Receive NOA2):" describes what you need to start gathering. I'm not sure why you included your financials with your initial I-129F, it's not required for the initial filing. But look at the guide, it tells you about everything you'll need to put together, including the all-important affidavit of support.

The police report is good for 2 years, but the older it is the more likely the consulate might give her a hard time about it anyway. Remember that these consulates like to think of themselves as their very own little kingdoms, and they make and break the rules on their own whims.

Aha -- that's where I'd seen the post-NOA2 stuff. An attorney had suggested that I include the financials with the initial package.

What ORIGINALS of what items are crucial to have (or to send to the Consulate or to the fiancee)?

Sorry to keep axxing questions like this, but folks whose approvals are pending may find such basic directions helpful soon. I will also scope other forums in order to minimize my ask-questioning.
