Am beginning to despair but know there is nothing to do but wait... Just wish I could do something - even if it didn't speed up the process at least I would feel like I was getting somewhere...

I just checked the mail and nothing... This wateing is horrible...... Why does our country take so long with this. . I think goverment officals really don't care about anyone but themselvs.. This is so frustrating. I had too much faith that I would get it in the mail like others did. It's just not fair that my future is on hold due to "red tape". I just want to cry..

exactly how I feel! USCIS seem to be the kind of company where you need to fill in a form requesting a form to fill in a form requesting what you actually need. I can imagine their office being full of managers delegating tasks to not many workers whilst hold meetings requiring coffee and cream cakes in which they spout out buzzwords to make themselves feel important.

Hello Everyone,,, as of 8 pm, yesterday 10-24-07, me and Mercy are approved. Didn't get an email but looked on USCIS website and the notice was there, stating 10-24-07, they mail our 797. Best wishes to the rest that are waiting.Hope you all will get good news soon

and I didn't say the calling was 'rich', I said their reactions are to be expected if we try something on false pretences and then get called out on it

I don't mind being disagreed with, but I'd rather it be about things I actually said

Well, when you guys get your approvals today (how's that for trying to be positive?), there are still plenty of seats in this waiting room (the one where we wait for CSC to send our NOA2's to NVC) and we can all celebrate the fact that at least the NOA2's are here. At least it hasn't been a 5 month wait (just 2-6 weeks) here like it was for the NOA2! Hopefully they start sending those out to NVC soon...please!! Edited October 26, 2007 by u2rsobad

What I think is a shame is our goverment doesn't give us any dorect way to check status. And by doing the ref trick I would say one out of ten times there is more info given then the other options in the menue. I don't feel bad in any way doing that..... We are paing for this process and as a customer I feel it is my right to know status. If going through there menue could get me to someone that was actually there I would go through it in the corect manner..

I understand what that is like - I spend all day calling car dealers to see if they have our cars on site to collect - most of the time if I don't know which option to press, I tend to opt for the "hold to speak to an operator" one just because I know that the person I speak to has a better chance of figuring out what is going on at their end or at least who I need to speak to

They are too busy approving all those employment visas (taking care of big business) and refugee processing, and receipting, and trying to get their ####### together after their brilliant management decision to close the TSC and NSC to K1/K3 petitioners. What a bunch of BS.
