N400 Interview Scheduled

Finally got my interview scheduled under 3-year rule. I'd gotten my 10year green card a few months ago. Wondering, for those who are went in just for the citizenship interview what did they ask you and what documents did you bring? (I'm aware that for those who haven't gotten their 10 year gc, that the interview/approval for that is sometimes done at the same time as the citizenship interview).

We bought an entire copy of everything we’d submitted with the N400+ any new updated evidence, such as bank accounts. The officer didn’t ask for anything

Here's a summary of my interview:

…. And just like that, I’m one step closer to the end! 
 

Interview was today at 8:00 am at the USCIS Columbus Field Office. We went with my husband, but at first the officer only called me in. 
I had a few corrections/ update to make, so before I was sworn in I let him know of this. He said it was ok, not a problem. So he swore me in, then started with the civics test: 

 

- What did MLK junior do?

- What are two US national holidays?

- two political parties

- why did the colonists fight the British?

- Name one tribe

 

Forgot the other question. 
The reading was: who elects Congress?

Writing: People elect Congress. 
 

Then we went on to the application. I made the changes / updates. 
For the weapons training question, I marked “yes” because I own a gun, which my husband has been teaching me to use. I explained this, he changed the question to “no” and he added “informal”. 
 

After I was done, he called my husband in, asked him when we got married, my full name, my DOB, his marital status. And that was it! He printed off the paper recommending me for approval on the spot. 
It felt more like a casual conversation, he was professional but friendly. 
 

Funny note: he asked me how long 751s are taking because officer’s wife has a pending one! 😂😂😂

Lolol that is too funny that he and his wife are in the same boat. 
 

Also REAAAALLLLY helpful that you mentioned your husband being called in. I read a lot that they don’t have to come but would be good to come. So now I will make sure my husband comes (he has work at the time of the interview).

Same with my interview...took two thick binders, did not need a single thing- officer said it's a rock solid case & more than sufficient evidence  and moved to civics test and englisch test right away.

I have a 10 year GC but only eligible for 3 year rule now. So @KristineGB question is relevant.

Yep I’m applying under the 3 year rule too. What I mean is did you get issued your green card with conditions removed. Dont you have to do ROC after the conditional green card is granted?

It looks like @Caligirl1 had a pending I-751 and applied for N-400. A combo interview was performed. ROC and citizenship were approved without 10 year GC ever issued.

No, I had I751 pending and it was a combo interview- both approved that day incl oath taking
