AP/background checks can happen at any time during the process, although this is atypical for K-1s.

1st of all i hope u did not put Orlando as local office on petition as that would require an I 824 (fee of $465 ) to correct the petition to go to Casa

If the bene's name is one used over and over like Mohammed,  Adil,  Yousseff  and same for the last name

they may be checking as computer came up with anther petition with that name

OR

NVC is doing an investigation on the USC

same answer as august post

it is unusual but as pointed out but security checks can happen at any time

because

1. name is already in system as it is used over and over

2.  security check on the USC

3. a document was not recd by NVC from USCIS (lost -it happens and they need to find it)

4.  USC shows married in the computer

or is an error in the message

go to the USCIS site to schedule an interview ,  using your case # ,  try to schedule one and gather your needed documents

Hello,

my case was approved by USCIS on April 27, 2023. and I received my case number at the nvc on July. I keep getting this email by nvc when I send an inquiry to know when my case will forwarded it the embassy of casablanca, Morocco.  they keep sending me they are holding because the embassy of morocco is not processing k1 visa and of course that is wrong. it been almost 5 months that we are stuck at the nvc and I tried everything to explain them that on the inquiry form. I don't want to be stuck there forever. what can I do to move and forward my case to the assigned embassy.

Backlogs exist.  NVC does not send cases to consulates until the consulates request them.  Sadly, there is nothing you can do other than wait it out.

@Crazy Cat I don't think you understand what I posted, my embassy is working and people with same timeline as mine recieved their visa already. Embassy of casablanca, morocco is working and open and processing k1 visas. I think NVC mistakenly this and they are just placing my case somewhere and not sending it to morocco.

That NVC response is generic.  Your case will be sent when the consulate requests it.

Didn't they put your case in AP?  You might have to contact your state Senator's office to get the accurate status.

that what they say at the first place now they say something way different that consulate is not processing cases which is not true. people getting interviews and visa and my embassy is working. I have contacted the congressman and the white house and still waiting response from nvc to them. I'm lost at this moment how to move my case. I guess it's misplaced nobody will know what is happening there.

I think it is still in some kind of AP status.  Maybe Congressman can get the real story form them.  Good luck.
