Ds260 two middle names

Hi all,

I just submitted the ds260, but I left out a middle name because I ideally don't want it on my GC.

Let's say the name is Joe Maria Theodore Last name, I wrote Joe Theodore Last name.

Will this cause an issue? I really dread having two names and one of them is Maria.

The name in your passport is what will be on your visa.

Passport says "Joe Maria Theodore Last name"

But as I said, I would like to leave out Maria

Again, the name as it appears on your passport is exactly what will be on the visa. Nothing you can do about that unless you change your passport.

Alright. Will I have to change anything on the DS260 or will the officer at the interview correct it?

If the name in your passport is not correct, ask the passport office in your country to correct it before you go for your visa interview. Otherwise, your passport name is what will be printed on the visa. Visa name = passport name. Officer won't change it to anything else. Why is the 2nd middle name in your passport?

The name in my passport is correct. I just only filled in one middle name on the ds260. That's all.

I just only filled in one middle name on the ds260. - This is fine. If you want to add the 2nd middle name to DS260, then officer certainly help with that. Even if you don't ask rest assured your passport name is going to be in the system going forward because the passport name (with two middle names) will appear on the visa and GC. What's the big deal then?

No big deal.

Ideally I wanted to omit one middle name because I don't like it, but obviously (and unfortunately) it doesn't match the passport 100% so it might cause problema.

I believe you can change your name when you get to the states if you want as far as I understand.
