CRBA Denied

Hello everyone, I have a question, back in 2019 I applied for my daughter's CRBA, I am an American citizen by birth, but that year it was denied because I did not have enough evidence to prove that I was in the US for a consecutive year, my daughter was born in 2010.

So I was wondering if I can apply again, now that I have gathered New evidence. I dont know if its posible to apply for a second time.

Back then I submited

social security statement

Tax forms

w2

GED certificate

High school transcripts

Daycare records of payments made

Medical bills I had

And that wasnt enough

Yes. https://ng.usembassy.gov/frequently-asked-questions-about-the-consular-report-of-birth-abroad-crba/#:~:text=An application may be denied, consider the immigrant visa process.

If the application was “not issued” because you failed to supply required evidence within the 90-day deadline, you may be able to resubmit your application with new evidence, but you will need to pay a new fee.”

What is your new evidence?

Was she born out of wedlock?

Yes, her father and i got married a year later after she was born

So because she was born before 2017, you have show 365 days of continuous presence in the U.S. from before she was born.

That will be difficult.

Sit down with a pen / paper and create 12 month intervals from the documentation you have . Plug in the dates covered and see if you can ADD anything to that time period.

Ex . If you pick High school years, then build up from attendance records with photos , awards? learners permit to drive , get your parents tax records that show you were a dependent .

If you settle in on adults years , do the same intense 12 month review . .,where there will be at least one or two pieces of evidence for each moth…figure out where you lived during that period ( run ur credit report. Try to recall who u banked with and order copies of statements.

Am not sure WHY you were denied , because your list is solid. The denial would tell you the weak spot of your evidence .

Nonetheless, reapply ,
