We received notice that we are document qualified and they would send the file to the embassy for an interview date. This was on May 12th

Question:  for those who've received interview dates when were you notified (a) the case was going to the embassy, (b) of your interview date, and (c) the date of your interview.

Thanks,

Mark

As I understand the medical exam process, this wouldn't be advisable.  Some of the medical results may expire while you're waiting for an interview date.

IR2 visa has been DQd for almost 3 months now it is just frustrating. School year is starting soon. She will be behind when we arrive to US

I was part of the auto expedite on 6/26. Interview date for 7/11. Approved. Not sure when June and further DQ cases will move to the embassy. Seems a little past mid May was the DQ cut off for the 6/26 batch.

We just received our interview notice. It seems the difference between may 10th & may 12th document qualification resulted in a 10 month delay 😞

Unfortunately, that is rather definitively exactly what US Embassy Manila really did.  It has been ALL CR1/IR1 CR2/IR2 cases that became documentarily qualified past that May 2023 cut off date.  I can't even imagine what they were thinking.

Hi, do you have any idea how long it takes for F4 visa category to receive interview letter? I am DQ since June 14 2022

We're CR1, going on 8 months since DQ. Given the IR expedites that just happened, we expect another 3 to 6 months, at minimum, for my wife to receive an interview letter while USEM works through the IR interviews, unless they substantially increase the number of CR interviews they do monthly.

We will convert to IR1 on June 3.

At this point, no matter what happens, just make sure that she arrives in USA after 6/3.

CR versus IR has never mattered to me. I understand the dynamics, and everyone's perspectives and personal feelings on how they choose to approach their journeys, I can absolutely respect. In our situation, we prefer being together. The additional hassles and expenses should she have immigrated sooner was, in our situation, of zero consequence.

That said, at this point, the only positive I can ferret out of this mess in Manila is that we're obviously going to end up bypassing that, however unintentionally.

I appreciate your advice, nonetheless.

Yep.  My wife entered the US only 30 days prior to out 2 year anniversary.  Now, after having been through the complete absurdity and hassle of an I-751, I wish we had waited.
